Event Leader -  Walter Cramer

For those who were unable to Join Walter on the Saturday, May 1, Dieffenbach Potato Chip drive, you now have the opportunity to drive those same beloved Miata roads on Sunday, May 16th.  Although the potato chip factory is not open on Sundays, the experience of those 100 plus miles of Miata roads and beautiful scenery is certainly “worth the price of admission”.  Our first leg of travel is approximately two hours (Opting not to have that second cup of coffee may be a wise decision).  Traveling back into Lehigh County on nice, curvy roads, lunch will be an option at Hops Fogelsville Hotel., which offers outdoor dining.

It you attended Walter’s previous drive and want to do it again, you are more than welcome to join in on the fun.

Be sure to let Walter know if you wish to go to the restaurant!

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature and your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

We will use FRS radios for communications.  Be sure to arrive by ~9:30 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder 😉.

Attending:

  1. Walter & Nancy (Lunch x 2)
  2. Corrina & Louie (Lunch x 2)

Walter we had a great time today!. Perfect weather,  different leaders. Great roads. Good food. And new members! The most beautiful NC I have ever seen, and an RF! What an outing! Thanks again!!

Thanks, Walter, for a fun day 👍!  Raindrops threatened us for a while, but someone must have sacrificed something to the weather gods, because we stayed dry!  We enjoyed meeting some new folks... Peter, in his white RF, and Wayner, in the only NC that I've ever seen in that shade of red.  Very sharp!!  We hope to see them again, at future events!

Many "Your Welcomes" coming your way. I agree with all that has been said, especially those raindrops that we all saw and everyone knew they should not mention a word.

What a memorable day of events. A mishap that pulled our family together and helped each other. A loaned GPS that came into practical use later as Warren ended up being the leader of our drive. Joe being so hammered by allergies that his left eye was swollen shut. And once again, good communication from the group that provided much assurance and comfort to the leader.

A joy meeting Peter and Wayner today. Looking forward to spending more time with them and their cars at the Car-B-Que.

We have become a well oiled machine with our Middles and Tails. Much thanks to Corrina and Louie as Middles, Annette and Jim as Tails and Janice and Dave as Tails. And lets not forget Tina and Joe. They were Tails for approximately seven miles after Walter missed a turn.

Looking forward to our next Drive together.

Hats off to you captain!! It was a great day. (except for a mishap) But we really became a close knit grip pulling together! Those roads were amazing that we were on.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the BBQ!

I will echo the thanks to our leaders, especially Warren and Celia for keeping us on track after Walter made a Lou Turn.  😉   Also, thanks to Corinna and Louie who did excellent in the middle and our trio of tails for keeping us all together!

The weather held out and the roads were excellent!  It was also a pleasure to welcome Peter and Wayner to the club.

Where do I get one those “Lou Turn” stickers? 😎

anyways here’s some photos from today as always. I am not sure but I think I have to work next weekend  but sadly I don’t even know yet.

Around 830 this morning getting the car cleaned up. It’s funny I wanted to get to the location early this time and I did but almost everyone was there anyways.

NDs at Sheetz around 9:30

lovvve these wheels.

certainly one of the coolest things, a 25th anniversary NC3 (2015) - super rare and IMO one of the best looking Miatas ever.  The interior is amazing, it’s soul red crystal metallic paint prior to the ND, and the black PRHT.  Wow.  Incredible.

Thank you for the drive today Walter.  Sorry we had to leave early.  I wanted to talk to you at lunch.  I played by first round of golf this past week in over 18 months.  It was ugly, but no nice to be out on the course again.

Ken, so happy you and Evan were able to join us today.

Would love to get together on the golf course sometime - your ugly and my ugly has to equal something.

@stormnd2club Check with Dave to see if he has any Lou Turn stickers remaining.  I know that his stock was getting low.

Lovveee your car. We see so few NBs these days and yours is top notch. Show AND go. More GO than many of our motors put together.
