A question for the NA crowd. My cruise control has stopped working. Yes, I know, who needs cruise control on a Miata. I do, so I don't have to watch the speedometer so much and can watch more for the speed enforcers.

Anyway, my cruise control isn't working, and I suspect it's the main off-on switch rather than something "systemic." It seemed like it had been turning on requiring several pokes to get it to work. Now I poke to my heart's discontent and it doesn't turn on. At least that's what I think is happening.

Has anyone had any experience with this? And if so, how much of a PITA will it be to replace the switch?

John, I had cruise control issues with my '91 BRG. The dealership diagnosed the problem as the switch and replaced it. Cruise control worked for a month or so and then stopped working. The next diagnosis came up with a bad computer module. The big problem was they could not purchase a computer module as they are not being made.

I went online to Treasure Coast Miata    http://treasurecoastmiata.com/c-370437-used-miata-parts-miata-90-97-electrical-engine-and-body.html   and purchased a used module for $50. I had it installed and my cruise control has been working like a champ ever since. A friend told me I did not have to find a '91 module as the modules will fit any '91 through '96.

I should have said thanks for the info. I haven't followed up on it. It's easy to live without cruise, though I do like it for mindless driving. With COVID I should have been able to get it fixed, right?
