Saturday, May 1st is predicted to be another warm, partly sunny day that was created especially for Miata owners.
Join Walter on another one of his drives to re-stock on your kettle potato chips. The 100 - ish mile drive has us meeting at the rear of the Cracker Barrel at 7720 Main Street, Fogelsville, PA. We then begin our trek by leaving Lehigh County and traveling West into Berks County until we arrive in Womelsdorf, PA - the home of Dieffenbach’s Potato Chips. Traveling back into Lehigh County via our beloved Miata roads, lunch will be an option at Hops Fogelsville Hotel., which offers outdoor dining.
Be sure to let Walter know if you wish to go to the restaurant!
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, stating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by ~9:30 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder 😉.

I know sausage sandwiches, with a homemade sauce and chocolate cake with white icing are on the menu. Guessing chips with dip but not sure of other sides.
My MIL has always made your request for dinner and dessert on your bday. When I moved here in 1994, I made six not including herself. Today it sits at 15 not including herself. January and February are the only months she has "off" for cooking a bday dinner. Lol
And she has always found a way to maje the food stretch so come on by! 🤣
Okay, you have got my palate juices flowing. Tomorrow is bad for me, however, possibly an invite to another birthday dinner?
Jon is in. Lunch is a maybe.
Justin backed out. He has to wait for the internet guy to show up. I picture Kramer and the cable guy... So Corrina will be my copilot. We will be the middle tomorrow, so Corrina will not be able to Tail.

Eric, we will be departing the Cracker Barrel at 10:00 a.m. and stopping at Redman's Quick Stoppe on route 183 for our rest stop an hour and forty minutes later. So we should be arriving at Dieffenbach's by 12:20.
Walter
Gotcha. See you around 12:30

I will ask Haley but I am sure she won't mind being the tail.

You young guys using all of these "letters" instead of words. It takes me longer to read your message. 😍
What a nice drive today Walter! All that, and a bag of chips!! Corrina took a trunk load of pictures, which will go onto Facebook by tomorrow. I also would like to thank everyone who participated today, with a special thanks to Zak, who drove up from Philly, unsure of exactly what to expect.
It was a great run, and the driving season is only starting. We have a great Club, because we have great members!

I had a great time today too, the only problem for me is I live north west of all the drives, so I'm staring into the sun when I leave in the morning and staring into the sun the whole way home! Now I have a headache! 😂

What a fun day to have fifteen Miatas enjoying our beloved Miata roads to Dieffenbach’s for their hand cooked Kettle chips. Added to the joy of driving, we were able to witness some beautiful Spring scenery, view devastation from those high winds, deal with road closures and tree debris on the roads.
Once again, kudos to our “middle” (Corrina and Louie) and our tails (Jeff and Haley and Janice and Dave). It might not seem like a big deal, however, their FRS communication takes a lot of pressure off of the lead. And how about young Haley operating that FRS like a professional? What a cutie. You’re a solid mentor, Uncle Jeff.
Hats off to Dave Sell for knowing those roads in the Dreibelbis Station Road area. Nice job in getting us back on track to route 143.
I cannot offer enough appreciation to all of you folks who drive long distances to join in our enjoyment. Much appreciated - Dallas, Philadelphia, Lancaster, Stroudsburg, Lebanon, Paoli, Bloomsburg . . .

Brian, so sorry to hear of your pounding head ache. But so glad you were able to join us today. You and your '91 took today's NA count to a total of 4 - pretty cool.
My pain from today's drive is sunburn. And I had sunscreen in my trunk. No one to blame but myself.
I had sunscreen in my trunk too and also forgot to use it, although I think I got more wind burn than sun. And we made it to 5 NAs when the 93LE joined (although I lost track of who the driver was.)
