Finally got around to installing this recently. It’s for the ND. In one word, great. 9/10. It was so easy to install:

1) It fits right into the OEM wind blocker holes.

2) On the sides it has adjustable Velcro straps to attach to the roll hoops.

3) It’s good quality for the price.

Before I show photos here are some major benefits:

1) I drove on the highway at 65MPH with it installed and both windows up. Hardly any air gets in - of course eventually over 75MPH that will change but if you don’t want any wind coming in, it’s great. Much better than the others I’ve tried.

2) If your ND did not come with an automatic dimming mirror, this is perfect. The tinted version which I have really cuts down on the headlights that can blind you because of the height we sit at in our NDs. Or course - you can have your rear window tinted, but in the soft top- when it’s down- that doesn’t help. This does. I noticed it immediately.

3) Even at higher speeds with the top down it fits and tightens down so securely it does NOT make noises or wobble or anything. It’s like it’s permanently there.

4) Aesthetically I love it

5) It offers a little bit of privacy at least from those behind or to your back left or right. Which I like.

6) None of my windows in my ND are tinted so I don’t know how it would be with having this and the rear window tinted, but with this and the top closed it appears in your rear view mirror it is tinted.

7) It is not difficult to open or close the top with it installed from inside the car. Just have to reach around a little bit more. Actually, 90 percent of the time when I do open or close the top I do it from the outside. I cringe at the videos on YouTube of the guys slamming the soft top open or closed every time trying to see how fast they can do it. It’s delicate and I know it’s not their vehicle so they don’t care. But I wouldn’t do it to my own.

Pics:

Unboxed:

The pieces that slide directly into the OEM holes. No more having to keep the OEM blocker in there too or having to see open holes if you go aftermarket for this:

(When installed the logo is supposed to face towards the front of the car).

^ From directly behind. Depending on the sun light it looks light or darker.

^ Inside the vehicle, top down looking back. Remember they DO make a smaller version with a cutout that is also tinted (or clear) if you want that instead. I wanted mine as big and dark as possible.

^ Side angles

Front angles and how it installs right into the OEM holes. Fits perfectly.

Rear view mirror shot- you can see my phone taking the photo. I have an oversized rear view mirror that goes over the normal one for the track as it helps me see all around me.

^ Top closed looking back during the daytime.

And finally, rear shots of the entire car:

^ Those last two photos were taken around dusk as you can see the red LED strip light a little. Not in full daylight.

I should also add it came with some extra parts and the blocker itself is adjustable with a small allen wrench. It came with these long pieces of plastic and some smaller parts in a bag. Nothing needed to be put together or assembled - it popped right in out of the box. I asked them what the extra parts were for, his reply:

“Those are extra frame pieces that enables you to customize the frame layout on the Wind Deflector. They are not needed for the installation process. For installation instructions, please flip the box and scan the QR code to reach the owners’ manual and refer to pages 16-21. I would recommend you, even beyond installation purposes, to take a look at owners’ manual for a better understanding of the product and how to customize it.”

Circled above in my trunk are the long plastic pieces. I haven’t figured out what they are for yet beyond their response when I asked.

9/10 people. I really like this a lot. Again it comes in this size tinted or clear, or a smaller size with a mid cut out, tinted or clear, for a very reasonable able price.

**I do believe these will fit the RF as well - I know the smaller one will, may want to check with them first about the larger one.

You can get your own at:

Thanks guys.

Thank you for this review. I have the medium in hand and agree with the quality. I am waiting on the one piece that was damaged to install.

It looks like you've been overfeeding your rearview mirror... Is that aftermarket? What's the point?

(I installed a smaller-than-OEM mirror, so that I could see out the front better, and the wider mirror just gave me a view of the headrests.)

Are you short?

I'm 6'0", and all I see at the edges of my (extra narrow) mirror is the headrests. Of course, my mirror is just at eye-level for me...

Looks like a quality piece. Even those straps seem like someone paid attention to them.

If you look at the owners manual they are “bridges” and the frame can be configured several ways for aesthetics. http://http://pdf.ankhasport.com/pdf/deflector_manual.pdf#page31

Wow, those are some solid instructions. Nice options too. I'll have to wait for the 'roll bar ready' version
