Event Leader -  Walter Cramer

Walter would like to offer this drive to those folks who could not participate in its June 19 running: Some of the "Jersey Gang" and others who had to work on June 19.

The drive will again start at the Upper Macungie Park, along Route 100, just north of Fogelsville.  We will be driving familiar Miata roads in Lehigh and Carbon Counties that our Club has enjoyed for decades.  Once we traverse Blue Mountain via Route 309 we will be driving Miata roads that are not as familiar to our Club.  Hopefully I will be introducing you to Miata roads you have never driven.  Our rest stop will be at the Walmart Super Center on Route 443 in Lehighton.  Following the rest stop, we continue to drive our beloved Miata roads South of Route 443 and North of Route 895 and eventually cross the Lehigh River via Route 209.  We continue to drive South of Route 209 and arrive at the Blue Mountain Lodge for a picnic lunch and an additional rest stop.

After lunch, we continue South over Blue Mountain and enjoy an Ice Cream dessert at the Blue Mountain Drive-In.

The Drive is approximately 97 miles in length and each leg of travel is approximately two hours.

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

We will use FRS radios for communications.  Be sure to arrive by 9:00 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder 😏.

Here are links to my dash cam recording for today's drive. I am using 2 Google account so I can upload 10 clips on each one due to daily limits. I will upload the rest tomorrow. I was behind @livetodrive Joe and Tina so a lot of good footage for their blue MA

First link to the first half of the drive before arriving at Walmart, go the the channel video list for the remainder of the first half recording

Second link to the second half of the drive starting when leaving from Walmart, go the the channel video list for the remainder of the second half recording

Can you also post this on our Facebook page? And maybe on the Fiat pages that you belong to? I love having members place content on our page, especially related to drives. There are over 611 people who belong to our Facebook page,  but over 500 of them are not yet actual members.

Hi @livetodrive Louie I will certainly share on the LVMOC and FIAT Facebook pages! I will review the content myself and pick a good one with the best start time link to catch the audience's attention.
