Date - Thursday, September 18th

Gathering Place - Dairy Queen parking lot, 701 South 25th Street (adjacent to the WAWA), Easton

Arrival Time - 9:00

Driver’s Meeting - 9:15

Departure Time - 9:30

Join Walter on another extended Weekday Drive. This Drive has us driving 115 miles of a blend of touring roads and our beloved Miata roadways in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. These are the exact roads of my Amanda’s Riverside Cafe Lunch Drive. Unfortunately, Amanda’s Riverside Cafe is no more. The building is empty and up for Rent.

On this Drive, we will be crossing the “free bridge” at Northampton Street in Easton and driving through Warren and Hunterdon Counties in New Jersey. Our first rest stop, after an hour and thirty-five minutes of driving, has us at a Walmart SuperCenter in Hackettstown, NJ. Our next leg of 39 miles has us crossing the Delaware River back into Pennsylvania at Milford and arriving at the Tinicum Park in Upper Black Eddy, PA on Route 32 to enjoy our delicious picnic lunch in the 12:30 - 1:00 range. The Park has Restrooms. Our final leg of travel has us enjoying Miata roads in Bucks and Northampton Counties and after an hour and ten minutes of driving, we are concluding the Drive in the area of the View Restaurant atop Morgan Hill and very near Route 78.

If after lunch you would prefer to travel a more direct route back into New Jersey or into the Easton area, you can opt to navigate North on Route 32 from Tinicum Park.

If you have camping chairs, it would be a good idea to toss them into your trunk.

@fun-to-fly

Thank You, Dominic. I must say I really enjoy driving that route of roads through New Jersey. Last evening at dinner my Miata Drive was mentioned and Nancy lamented she was sorry she was not able to attend as it is one of her favorite Drives.

Also, so happy to see you and Cindy arrive in your " new to you " '91 BRG. And equally so, so happy to see Cindy take the wheel in our second leg of travel. I hope her sharing the Drive continues into the future.
