After doing my Pre-run, I considered calling this the Covered Bridge Tour, as we go through FIVE COVERED BRIDGES total, and one of those, twice.

When: Saturday July 10th!  Meeting at 6:30, Rollout at 7:00

Where: Upper Macungie Dog Park at end of Haasadahl Rd. Fogelsville, PA

Join Louie and Corrina for a SHORT 39 mile Run.  This is only an hour and ten minutes in length.  The objective is to meet, drive on some really fun roads in that area, and ends at Rita's. Rita's closes at 10:00.  I  have invited Lehigh Valley Mini Club to join us again, Making this the 2nd LV M&M ever! Come out and join the fun!

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

We will use FRS radios for communications.  Be sure to arrive by 7:00 p.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder 😏.

Attending:

  1. Louie and Corrina
  2. Jerry and Wanda
  3. Mike C. & Alison (no dinner)
  4. Neil 1
  5. Glen (if it's not raining)
  6. Doug
  7. Walt & Deb
  8. Jim T
  9. Annette & Jim
  10. Jim O
  11. Dawn and Tom
  12. Marianne
  13. Wayne
  14. Joe (hopefully)

@oxenrj00 Jim we will be starting in the Upper Macungie park,  which is at the intersection of Haasadahl and Hilltop Road. It is the same location that Walter is using tomorrow. It is on the opposite side of RTE 100 from Weis Markets.  If you Google the Weis on 100 in Fogelsville,  the park is 1000 feet north from it on 100.

@oxenrj00   I also had trouble finding directions to the meeting place. When I googled Upper Macungie Dog Park, it gave me directions to LOWER Macungie Dog Park!   But I believe it's on Route 100 about 1.2 miles north of Route 78. I hope I am correct, because I couldn't find a Weis that was anywhere near it. ???                           Hopefully someone in the know will Reply with certitude!

It was I who requested some evening rides, so barring some unforeseen circumstance I will be there.

If anyone signed up, has an extra radio, please bring it. I would like to make sure everyone has the opportunity to have one. This should be a nice sized group, and I want everyone to be able to hear. There may be several Minis, and hopefully a couple Miata guests who have never been on a Run.   Thank you!

Joe may be able to make it, if he can get out of work on time...

Weather’s looking good, so I’m in!

For those of us who’ve experienced a GPS with a mind of its own, attached is a Google Earth screenshot of the rally point with GPS coordinates.  If your unit doesn’t allow the alphabetical entries of N,E,S,W, first enter the N as a positive number, and then W as a negative or else you’ll end up in Kyrgyzstan, with an empty tank and a very full bladder.  Like me one time.

No, I’ve never done that, but it would be a very interesting trip.  #30, Louie??

@jim-turner thank you for the Earth view. I need to learn how to drop that in here. Glad to see that you can make it!

@zonker sorry to hear that you are unable to make it.  On the bright side, word on the street is... there will be many more opportunities yet to come!
