FRANCIS E. WALTER DAM, LAKE HARMONY, LUNCH & ICE CREAM DRIVE 8/15/21

Join Walter on another Miata excursion into the Pocono Region. Along with enjoying 103 plus miles of Miata roads, this Drive features lunch, at the Snydersville Family Diner, and, for dessert, Ice Cream at Jane’s Ice Cream and Eatery. We will also visit the Francis E. Walter Dam and take a drive around Lake Harmony, at the Split Rock Lodge in Luzerne County. Looking South from the Dam head one can view the beginning of the Lehigh Gorge State Park, which extends South into the Lehighton area.
The first leg of travel is approximately 55 miles in length, with our rest stop at WAWA, on Route 940, in one hour and fifty five minutes. Our second leg of travel is approximately 48 miles in length, and our rest stop is at the Snydersville Family Diner, in one hour and fifty minutes.
If you have never visited the Francis E. Walter Dam or taken a Miata drive around Lake Harmony, this is Drive is a must.
The Drive will end at Jane's Ice Cream and Eatery, near Stroudsburg. Following a five to six hour day, the forty minute travel back to the Lehigh Valley is via four lane roads.
We will gather at the Shell Station, 428 Nor Bath Boulevard, Northampton. The Shell Station is at the intersection of Route 329 and Howertown Road. We will meet at ~9:00 with a Driver’s meeting at 9:30 and a departure time of 9:45.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by 9:00 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder 
.

@rhetlaw I have them...they were from the dash cam. I am referring to the ones that where corrinna and someone else for out of there car to fill us going past them as we left.

I tried to edit out the beginning and end of her video and post it on our Facebook page, but I was unsuccessful at the moment. Annette posted hers on Facebook, but some people can't see it. I don't know why. I will get Corrina to upload it soon.

Could someone please post, in a reply to this thread, links to both Annette's and Corrina's videos (which currently can be viewed only by select people with Facebook accounts)? I believe that they should be made available to all LVMOC members via the LVMOC website.

The link won’t work unless the person who posted it on Facebook makes the video a public post.
many people have their Facebook settings to friends only (and for good reason); but there is always the option for someone to make any individual post public.
Could someone please post, in a reply to this thread, links to both Annette's and Corrina's videos (which currently can be viewed only by select people with Facebook accounts)? I believe that they should be made available to all LVMOC members via the LVMOC website.

I am so thankful that others are interested in viewing Corrina's and Jim's video from the Dam. Shortly after Annette posted in on the Club's FaceBook page, I was not able to view the video. I got the infamous message, " This content isn't available right now ".
Hopefully, Annette will post it on this thread.

Thanks again Walter for putting this drive together! We had a great time and Haley loves the views from the dam. Not so much fun was almost being hit by a firetruck!
Congrats again to those young lovebirds on their anniversaries! It was great to see Gail, Randy and Wendy's new Miatae too! The red on white and polymetal on red are both beautiful color combos!

Whatever Corrina did to allow us to view her video, she should pass it onto Annette. Jim has another fine video.
