Event Leader -  Walter Cramer

Join Walter for a late-season Drive to re-stock your kettle potato chips. The 100-ish mile drive has us leaving Lehigh County and traveling West into Berks County, stopping at Redner’s Market on route 183 for our rest stop.  We continue on our drive and arrive in Womelsdorf, PA - the home of Dieffenbach’s Potato Chips.  We will return to Lehigh County, via our beloved Miata roads, where we will enjoy a 1:30 - 1:45 reservation for lunch at Madeline’s Fogelsville Restaurant.

Visits to Dieffenbach's have become ritual pilgrimages for LVMOC.  If you have not yet tasted their chips (and other goodies), here's your opportunity (Walter has mapped a great route, also!).

Be sure to let Walter know if you will be staying for lunch at Madeline's!

NOTE: DUE TO THE POPULARITY OF THIS EVENT, WE WILL ADD A SECOND GROUP OF CARS, TO BE LED BY TOM AND DAWN HORVATH!

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will consider your post to this event thread, stating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

We will use FRS radios for communications.

Jacqueline, meeting us for lunch would be fine. Arrive at Madeline's Restaurant 1:45 - 2:00. If you would like, PM me your cell phone number and I can call you when we arrive at the Sheetz Station. Sheetz is 50 minutes away from Madeline's.

There is a local gentlemen from face book that has a 2012NC and wishes to attend this run. I informed him that he can be a guest for 2 runs and then would need to join. His name is TJ Kovach and won't be doing lunch.  Just wanted to let the poweres that be to be on thr lookout for a silver NC with black stripes.

@redmann

Thanks for the heads-up regarding TY joining us on Saturday's Drive. Kudos to reaching out to him and getting him on board. Very happy you explained to him that he gets two free Drives and then has to make a decision about joining our Club.

11PM forecast computer model came in. It appears Saturday will be DRY but unseasonably chilly in the early morning hours. 20s for the Poconos, 30s for the Lehigh Valley area. The angle of the sun is still somewhat strong this time of year so expect low to mid 60s by afternoon

Just a heads up - if you drive top down no matter what have a jacket or hoodie with you at least until later in the drive.

good news is though NO RAIN!!
