I don't have the before pics.  Tim's Auto body is doing the work.  I think there were maybe 3 body panels they were not touching (the buttress sides and the panel behind the trunk lid).  I am having them paint the buttress parts (changing the color).  Other than the section of yours that peeled at the emblem I think they were about the same.

Got the OK from Mazda to have my '21 Crystal Soul Red repainted due to the multitude of rock chips.  Goes into the shop on the 1st of August.   

Wow. Can I ask which dealer you went to? I feel like I got the short end with just my front painted, the rear bumper and rockers look like crap. So do parts of the doors. Although I have to bring the car in again soon at Young/Koch later this month 

I went to Ray Price.  Bought the car at Young’s but use Ray Price cause it is closer to home. Have a loaner from them for the duration of the repaint.  Service staff is very nice

Considering the entire front was already done and I have softop, if Koch/Young won’t do the rest of the car I’ll try there.

Thanks for the info.  OUCH!!!!    Our 2 Miatas are being repainted under warranty by Mazda.  Two different dealerships so comparing notes on the service each provided. Will keep him in mind to do some work on my wifes Jeep  

Update:  Went to pick it up today but found one blemish in the paint they are going to fix, should have it by Friday. Talked to the painter and the car was a 100% repaint. The hood was sanded to bare aluminum before repairing.  Both mirror caps were replaced. I like the custom look I had them to top the top extending the black

My appointment at Koch (formerly Young) got moved to September 13th. Besides them reevaluating the rest of the paint from the hood/fenders back, (the rear bumper area is really bad and so are rocker panels) - they are:

1) Replacing the infotainment screen 

2) Replacing the soft top

3) Trying to figure out why my seatbelts don’t retract 

I had no problems with my 2012 NC2 - that I bought used w/ 24k miles. I get a brand new ND2 and it’s been one thing after the other. The infotainment screen is spider webbing from the top left & bottom right corners, like it’s separating, and the soft top is developing two holes in the exact same spots on both the driver and passenger side - which means it’s a systematic issue. They aren’t actual holes yet but it’s a matter of time. 

Well just dropped my ‘20 Club at Koch Mazda. New infotainment screen. New soft top from holes poking thru. Also they are fixing the spring mechanism of the fuel door failing (a second time!!) - and reevaluating the rest of the car for a repaint. 

While speaking with the tech just now I told him how OPs car was a year newer, less chips and an RF (more area to repaint) - and if they won’t do it at Koch/Young I’ll go up to Ray Price.
