I'm hoping it's just the battery connection, as my negative terminal bolt has been going loose on its own; but I replaced the bolts and both + and - seem OK right now.
The only thing affected at this moment is the oil pressure gauge, you can watch the videos I have linked below. When this happens, the motor doesn't sound right either.
My best guess is bad connection on either the oil pump or the oil pressure sending unit?
Any other ideas?
help?????????
Geeze. I have never seen that before, or heard of that. Sorry.

It also stalls out when I am at idle and push the clutch in
Hey Wayne, sorry to hear of your troubles. That is a first for me too. I have never seen nor heard of anyone asking about the needle dropping to zero while driving when the RPMs do not change and then bouncing back to "normal". From everything I have read it is bad news when it drops to zero but that is when the needle stays there. In your second video, what did the needle do once you put the car in gear and drove?
Copied and pasted this from m.net but still stumped as to why it would drop and then bounce back (in your first video)
Have you happened to double check the posts on your battery terminals? I ask as I have read where if they are not seated properly on the terminals (which are tapered) then they can slide up causing issues even though you swore that you tightened them down properly. It might have also happened to me once after I dis-connected the battery when installing my head unit. 😜

at this point I’m 90% believing it’s the connection at the battery; but my problem fully believing that is why is only the OP gauge affected; and why does the engine sound weird when it pegs at zero? Also, why stall when I put the clutch in at a stop?
Marty at Big Daddy’s Garage in Schnecksville got me going again.
oil pressure switch was the culprit.
Well that was a quick fix!!!!
Happy to hear that it was a quick and easy fix for you!
