Animals are important, too. In these times, shelters finances are strained as well.
I'm proposing a trivia drive fundraising event, but want to see if there's interest; and someone would have to map the drive with three stops as I wouldn't be able to do that (starting point, 1st stop, 2nd stop, ending point).
My idea is for $25 per car, everyone will get a set of multiple choice questions to answer. The questions will be in the style of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, with increasing points for increasing difficulty of questions.
Each car will receive a set of 15 questions electronically at each stop, and have 15 minutes at each stop to electronically submit the answers (don't worry, it's real easy to do).
The money collected will be distributed with 50% going to Peaceable Kingdom, and 50% to the prize pool, which will be split among winners.
Anyone interested?
Thanks for this suggestion, Wayne. The LVMOC Executive Board discussed this, and we think it would be a worthwhile event to try. Unless you have a specific route in mind for this, we'll look at incorporating it into one of the drives we put together for next year. Of course, we'd coordinate it with you. Any drives for the remainder of this year are likely to be rather impromptu, and that will probably be the case for any winter drives. But, if you'd like to develop a route in the meantime, you're welcome to do so and give us a preliminary route layout for review.

I think waiting until closer to spring to figure out more details would be best, we don't know what the world is going to look like in four months, and likely things out of our control will be what makes our decisions for us.
Very true, Wayne, unfortunately 😥.

I’m looking for a fortunate outcome, Pfiezer announcement today is hopeful.
the big question is if it’s the real deal, how fast can it be distributed.
Forgot to mention the prize structure.
While the following percentages do equal 100%, that is to denote 100% of the portion of the prize pool, not 100% of total money raised.
In this example, I'm using 25 cars at $25 each or $625 total, with $312.50 each going to the shelter and the prize pool.
Prize pool breaks down like this:
Overall winner - 50% or $156.25
Overall 2nd place - 20% or $62.50
Overall 3rd place - 10% or $31.25
Each winner of stage 1, 2, 3, and 4 - 5% or $15.63 each
This sounds like it could be fun! Will be staying tuned to see how it may work.

I’m down. Maybe I’ll bring one of my chihuahuas with me.
This is Rudy. He’s 3 1/2.
This is Cooper aka Coopey. He is 5. Both are purebred Chihuahuas, weigh like 5–6lbs each. Cooper is the calm one, Rudy is the little brat 🙂

Adorable Jordan! I can tell by tge pic that Rudy is a brat as you say. He just has that "I am up to no good" look.

That he is. He’s a trouble maker. Especially with food and barking for no reason. Cooper is chill.

That sounds like Charlie. He will bark/howl at anyone walking up the street. It drives us crazy.
