Event Leader - Walter Cramer
With Saturday’s pending warm and sunny day, Walter is dusting off his TG Countryside ice cream drive and offering to lead a run for the Club. BUT... since TG has closed for the season, we will instead visit The Shoppes of Premise Maid, in Manatawny (on PA-222). Our gathering point is the WAWA, 741 East Broad Street, Bethlehem (corner of Broad Street and Stefko Boulevard). As on the previous drive to TG Countryside, we will explore fun roadways with many scenic views in southeastern Northampton County. We will continue through Bucks County and Berks County, and we will end at the Macungie Memorial Park in Lehigh County for our picnic lunch. Although there are picnic tables in the pavilion, bring along camping chairs if you prefer to sit and enjoy your lunch in the sun. After lunch, we will head for Premise Maid, to indulge in their ice cream and candy specialties. Following our stop for treats, the ride has ended, and we will all disperse to our home areas.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
This drive will be limited to 15 cars, including the leader, with priority given to paid LVMOC members. If the 15-car limit is not met, we will open the drive to non-members.
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by 9:30 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder .

Drives 3 days in a row (albeit one is unofficial)! Is that a new record?

We have our grand dog this weekend so Beth will be staying home.
Okay, you talked me into it. Please add Arnold to the roster as well.
They closed this past Sunday for the season per their website and facebook page ☹️
Well, if TG Countryside does not want to take our money, I am betting The Shoppes at Premise Maid would love to have us spend our money there. And in addition to ice cream, there is the attached "chocolate shop".
Great News! Not only do they have curvy roads leading from the Macungie Memorial Park to The Shoppes at Premise Maid, both their ice cream store and their chocolate shop are open for business.
Count Gail and Bill in! Premise Maid sounds wonderful!
I could be wrong, but I don't ever remember the Club stopping at Premise Maid for ice cream and/or chocolates.
Count us in - any excuse for more ice cream and a fun drive 👍
