Our second leg of travel has us driving 43 miles in approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and arriving at The Steel Club in Hellertown for lunch, hopefully on the outdoor patio.
Please let Walter know if you will be staying for lunch!!
Note that it is IMPERATIVE that folks attending bring CASH as the Steel Club does not accept credit cards.
We will use FRS radios for communication.

So looking at the latest computer run, (1:30AM EST) and checking the current radar and its forward projection there definitely will be some rainfall in the area in the early morning hours possibly after or on and off. As usual, it’s about the timing; it’s too close to call if moisture currently falling in the Ohio valley will make it here or run out of steam so to speak as there is a decent amount of dry air a loft in our area, but we should experience precip at some point. Let’s hope it’s gone by the time we all head out

I’m parked at the Giant and feeling like a schmuck. One of my best friends comes out from NJ- I did 20 drives or so last year and THIS IS THE ONE I oversleep for. Anyways sorry people and big sorry to Justin. I was watching the weather so late I don’t even remember falling asleep.

@stormnd2club Don't beat yourself up too much, you made it for the second leg. Just have to remember you can't stay up late line those youngins anymore. 🤣
Thank you Walter for another great run! Joe had fun and asked about coming to another. While the weather at the start wasn't the best, it ended up being a gorgeous day for a top down drive.
It was also great to see current members coming out of hibernation and to meet some of the newer members/potential members. Also nice to finally have a chance to meet Justin from m.net, hopefully we will see you all on future runs!

Walter,
Thank you for a great ride. We both really enjoyed the day
Geoff and Bernadette
Thank you for your kind words - very much appreciated. But you don't pull off leading 22 Miatas on a 90 mile plus Drive by yourself. Many thanks to my #10 relay team of Janice and Dave, my #15 relay team of Michele and Dave and my Tail team of Wendy and Randy. Great job today. Thanks for all your input on the FRS Radio.
I was so impressed that we had six new folks joining us today. And to think many of them drove to the starting point IN THE RAIN. Thanks so much for joining us - Justin Jonsson (NJ), Justin Rauch (NJ), Gene Hippler, John Pitino, Michael Hill and cousin, Janet, and Bernadette and Geoff Chambers. Judging from your comments at the Steel Club, I am so happy you had a great experience with our Club members and the roads we so dearly love.
Looking forward to future Drives with this group of enthusiasts.
Where do I sign up for the next Unicorn sighting?
Weekday rides are awesome!
Amanda and I had a great time and The Steel Club was terrific.
Thanks for this, Walter and crew!

Thanks to Walter for putting together and leading another great drive!
Thanks Walter. Great roads you picked and we were within a few miles of my house and I learned some new roads around me. Great!
Also a thank you to David who does so much work behind the scenes for these drives.

Great drive today, Walter... thanks for putting it together and for conjuring up the nice, sunny weather (a little "moist" at the meeting spot, but fine by the time we got on the road). Again, in a region I know pretty well, you found some fun roads that were new to me!
I enjoyed welcoming all the new LVMOC members and the guests who participated. Those folks keep our Club fresh and alive!
You choice of the Steel Club for lunch was a perfect ending to a fun day 🤩.
I think we can now say that Spring Driving Season has arrived!
(BTW, I hope all those "sick" folks who participated are feeling better by tomorrow 😉)

Actually, Jordan, you're timing was pretty good... you arrived for the "dry roads" portion of the drive 😎. After all, part of a drive is better than no drive!

I remember laying down waiting for the final computer run before I’d have to start waking up, and suddenly it was daylight and Justin was calling me. I thought it set my alarm but it was either on PM or I didn’t hear it. So ridiculous of me - stayed up so late waiting to see what the weather was I over sleep.
But anyways the drive was great and the burger I had was one of the best ones ever - if you or any us go back and you like burgers def give it a go. So glad we had a drive during the week !
