Join Walter for another 85 - ish mile Drive on Saturday, April 24th. The Drive will begin at the Shell Station in Northampton, driving our beloved Miata roads through Northampton County, picking up Route 611 for our last five miles while driving through the picturesque Delaware Water Gap and stopping at the PA Welcome Center for our rest stop. Our return route has us driving Monroe County roads and arriving at the Blue Mountain Lodge for a picnic lunch (bring your camping chairs). After lunch, we can drive down the mountain to enjoy ice cream for dessert at the Blue Mountain Drive-In.
We will be meeting at the Shell Station, 428 Nor Bath Boulevard, Northampton (the corner of Route 329 and Howertown Road, Northampton). Drivers meeting is at 9:45 a.m. with a Departure at 10:00 a.m.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by 9:30 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder .

Great run!! As always, well worth the trip! (we had left by 7 am and didn't get home until 6!) No complaints though, it was a great time!
Wayne, your dedication to our Drives is AWESOME.
Always a joy to have you and Celia along on our Drives.
Walter
@rhetlaw thank you!! You always make us feel special!! We really enjoy this club and the runs you guys provide. I told you earlier that I’m hosting a run for delval, and I can appreciate all the work that you put into it. It’s not an easy assignment!! Thanks again for your hard work!!
🙂
Nobu, once again, another fine task in providing video of yesterday's Drive. I know I am not the only one reliving yesterday's Drive via your videos. A HUGE Thank You.
I especially enjoyed clip #7 - driving on Kunkletown Road, a right onto Rolling Hills Road / Dogwood Road, and then a right onto Stone Hill Road.
This clip encapsulates the "Miata Fun" while we are driving our beloved Miata Roads.
Walter
Annette, what a joy to revisit yesterday's lunch at the hillside of the Blue Mountain Lodge via your photos. You certainly captured the moment well.
I must say, I loved the photo shoot of your Miata overlooking the Valley. Great Shot.
Walter
Here is the first half of the recording. Some may still processing the HD 1440p version but 1080p version should already be available for all recordings. Enjoy!
Thanks, Jeff. So happy you were able to join us on the Drive today. You certainly do know your exhausts. Good ears.
I think it is so exciting to see the navigator's seat filled with nieces and nephews and pets. How cool is that for these young ones?
Truth be told, my eyes are better than my ears. I read "Cobalt" on the exhaust tips. lol
Yes it is great to see that navigator seat filled. Alyssa is close to driving age, maybe she will follow her Aunt Annette to a drive in her own Miata one day? Not sure about Comet, he would need some very long pedal extensions.
