Event Leader - Walter Cramer
Join Walter for another 85 - ish mile Drive on Saturday, April 24th. The Drive will begin at the Shell Station in Northampton, driving our beloved Miata roads through Northampton County, picking up Route 611 for our last five miles while driving through the picturesque Delaware Water Gap and stopping at the PA Welcome Center for our rest stop. Our return route has us driving Monroe County roads and arriving at the Blue Mountain Lodge for a picnic lunch (bring your camping chairs). After lunch, we can drive down the mountain to enjoy ice cream for dessert at the Blue Mountain Drive-In.
We will be meeting at the Shell Station, 428 Nor Bath Boulevard, Northampton (the corner of Route 329 and Howertown Road, Northampton). Drivers meeting is at 9:45 a.m. with a Departure at 10:00 a.m.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by 9:30 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder .

So sorry to hear that, Jon. We are not only going to miss you, we will miss seeing your 2021 Machine Gray GT soft-top.
I am hoping to do this Drive again later in the Season.
Walter
Please add: Bill Anderson, and my sister Lorrie (she has a 92NA, but will be riding with me) Thanks !
It's not all that far from where I live, so it'll be great if you did it again later.
Plan on it, Jon.

Another great drive, thank you Walter.
Very pleasant drive, Walter... thanks!👍 Good weather, good roads, nice scenery (loved all the trees in full bloom!) and the good company of the LVMOC gang 😊. (And, of course, ice cream!!!). A perfect day!

. . . and the good company of the LVMOC gang 😊 . . .

I agree with you, David, "and the good company of the LVMOC gang". My navigator, George, wondered if we always have such a good time on our Drives.
Thanks to Janice and David for being the "middle radio operators" of our 15 car caravan and to Annette and her niece, Alyssa for our tail. Alyssa at fourteen did a grand job handling the FRS. As you know, 15 cars can get spread out and along with our "middle and tail", thanks to all who added in on passing along information throughout the Drive - very helpful.
Looking forward to our next time together.
Had a great time Walter! Another round of thanks for putting the drive together.

@annette1265 I "heard" you got Cobalt muffler. By heard, I mean that I heard it when you moved your car for pictures at Blue Mountain. 😆
Sounds good!

Thanks, Jeff. So happy you were able to join us on the Drive today. You certainly do know your exhausts. Good ears.
I think it is so exciting to see the navigator's seat filled with nieces and nephews and pets. How cool is that for these young ones?
Some recorded videos (2nd half of the drive) uploaded. More to share tomorrow.
