I have a short run that we could do (50 miles 1 1/2 hours). I did a pre-run and the roads look open and great!! It begins at a Giant Food store with gas pumps and lavatory facilities, and ends up there, before going across the street to end the run at a Rita's. (Opens at noon).

Where: Giant Food Store Route 145 in Walnutport LOCATION
Destination: Basically a 50 mile loop that brings us back for a comfort break, then across the street to get ice at Rita's
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30.

@htom Don't make the mistake that I did. I went out and bought a set at Bestbuy and was not impressed. So I bought another set, slightly more expensive, and returned them. Now I have the same set that Walter uses, which is head and shoulders above the others. We are all looking forward to meeting you!

Tom, no need to rush out and purchase FRS radios. So many of us have a second FRS that you are more than welcome to use.
However, when you do decide to purchase a pair, Club members have found the Midland units have worked best for our situation.

@htom I too skimped on a cheaper pair. After a couple of runs where I found transmissions to be garbled, I ponied up and bought the same Midlands that Walter recommended. Don't make my mistake. Lol

Instead of Rita's, there is an Ice Cream Lab literally next door to Rita's. I have eaten there before, and one would hope their indoor dining is open. As it is kinda chill out, that is likely our destination.
