Event Leader -  Ken Hill

Join Ken for a spirited drive among the hills of the Reading area, with a sweet finish 😋.

The drive will depart from the Mission BBQ in Wyomissing at 6:00 p.m., following a group dinner at Mission.  Ken plans to arrive at 5:00 and looks forward to dining with the club.  Mission BBQ is fast casual dining, so an hour is more than enough time to eat dinner.  (There are many other restaurants in the area so if the best BBQ in the world does not tickle your fancy, feel free to dine elsewhere and meet us at Mission by 6:00.)  There is a Wawa 1/2mile away for fuel.  Warning, there are two entrances to Mission BBQ and they both look like a war-zone with large, deep pot holes.  A Miata can get in, just be careful and take you time.

The route will be about 60 miles and take about 2.5 hours, ending up at an ice cream place shaped like a cone of ice cream (yum!).  There is a bathroom break about half way through the route.

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

We will use FRS radios for communications.  Be sure to arrive by 5:00 p.m. (for dining at Mission BBQ) or by 5:45 for only the drive.

@redmann. Hope your plumbing issues are fixed and it wasn't crazy expensive.

I do my own plumbing...so it's just a pain and the expense of time taken away from, I know was a great run.
