UPDATE - Weather is good! We will be Running tomorrow! Please note that getting food, other than ice cream, at Jane's is very slow. For our picnic lunch, you may wish to grab a sandwich to go at the Wawa (our departure point) or at the Weis Market, where we will have our first comfort break. David
Walter Cramer is offering the latest "Flash" drive, to Jane's Lunch & Ice Cream, as another "Flash" drive, on Saturday, 4/10/21! Saturday's weather forecast for our region is, as of now, "Cloudy, high of 67, with a slight chance of showers". He's hoping that this will be an opportunity for those of you, who haven't been able to attend his mid-week events, to finally get on the road with the LVMOC gang! All the details for his Thursday, 4/8 drive will also apply to the 4/10 event. Please note that Saturday's drive will be weather-dependent. If it takes a turn for the worse and we decide to scrub it, the change will be posted here.
JANE'S ICE CREAM AND EATERY DRIVE
When - Saturday, April 10, 2021
Drivers' Meeting: 9:45 a.m.
Depart: 10:00 a.m.
Where - Wawa at Routes 248 & 33, Easton, PA
3820 Nazareth Road
Easton, PA Location
Event Leader - Walter Cramer
Come out and join Walter for another "Flash" drive offering for those who have not been able to attend and of his recent mid-week drives. This drive will be identical to that of Thursday, April 8, and it will be a drive of about 80 miles, mostly on our beloved "Miata" roads, through Northampton and Lehigh Counties, and it will also be run for the entire Club on a weekend that offers good weather. The group will enjoy a picnic lunch at Jane's Ice Cream and Eatery (if you prefer, you can order food at Jane's). There is a large area with picnic tables, but, if you wish, you can bring along your camping chairs. We will meet at the WAWA at 3820 Nazareth Road, Easton, PA (intersection of Routes 248 & 33). Drivers meeting is at 9:45 a.m. with a Departure at 10:00 a.m.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by 9:30 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder .

I'm hoping to attend.
(I'm new here, but not to Miatas, I've had my 91 BRG since 2004 and was previously an active member of the Space Coast Miata Club.)

@flying-dutchman don't get too excited, she's a rolling restoration work in progress, and she needs paint REAL BAD but mechanically she's sound.

Welcome, Brian, I too am the proud owner of a '91 BRG. I agree with you, it is still mechanically sound and drives like a champ. Looking forward to meeting you.
If you should happen to have an extra Space Coast Miata Club lapel pin handy, bring it along. Would love to exchange with you.

I don't even have my own anymore (lost everything in a flood a few years back) but I still have a fender magnet in my engine bay, and you can marvel at the tattered remains of the window sticker I haven't had the heart to scrape off my quarter window.

Good for you. I wouldn't scrape those off either. Our Club has a couple of window stickers that are near and dear to us for special reasons. I will show them to you.
I wish I could...so ready for a ride
Weather permitting, Bill & Ethan will be attending. Note.. I only do "fair weather" events, so if it's raining or rain is predicted I won't be there.
@livetodrive don't worry I left the snow tires on my winter car (Mini Cooper S) to ward off snow.

@wowak First, thank you! Second, we have a Mini Cooper convertible JCW that is my wife's winter car. That thing is a little bulldog in the snow.
