Event Leader - Walter Cramer
Walter will host a ride on July 25, 2020, to Klein Farms Dairy and Creamery, in Forks Township north of Easton, PA. The drive will leave from the Shell station at the intersection of PA Route 329 and Howertown Rd. (east of Northampton on 329) and travel eastward along the southern side of the Blue Mountain to the Delaware Water Gap, where there will be a comfort break at the Delaware Water Gap Rest Stop. NOTE - The Rest Stop has a picnic table area... please bring a snack or picnic lunch with you. Also, if you can fit them in, consider bringing camp chairs or folding chairs along, which will aid with the social distancing. From there, the route ventures over more of the twisty roads of northern Northampton County to our yummy dessert rewards at Klein Farms, 410 Klein Road, Easton, PA.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars (or stuffing our faces with ice cream). To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
This drive will be limited to 15 cars, including the leader, with priority given to paid LVMOC members. If the 15-car limit is not met, we will open the drive to non-members.
We will probably use FRS radios for communications.

Unfortunately, we have to back out of this drive, Walter... the Miata's "check engine" light lit up today 😣. I looked over everything that I could... the gas cap is tight, no underhood hoses off, fluids are OK. I did smell some minor gas fumes in the garage a couple of times during the past week. I just talked with Chad, at Young's, and he said it could have something to do with the fuel system evaporative canister or related plumbing. The bad news is that he can't get it into their shop until later next week. So we're grounded until then.
