Join Walter for a re-run of his June 8 drive!  We we will again visit a blend of our beloved Miata roads and touring roads in Northampton and Lehigh Counties.  The first leg of travel has us beginning the Drive at the Shell Station at the intersection of Route 329 and Howertown Road and ending 44 miles later at the Sheetz Station on Route 863 for our rest stop.  The second leg has us traveling 40 miles to Fogelsville, were we will be enjoying a delicious lunch at Madeline’s Fogelsville Restaurant.  We will arrive at Madeline's at about 1:00 p.m.

PLEASE LET WALTER KNOW IF YOU WILL BE STAYING FOR LUNCH!!

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

We will use FRS radios for communications.  Be sure to arrive by 9:30 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder 😏.

Comet and I had a great time on the drive, and wow did I learn how important that radio is on the drives.  Mine decided to go into some sort of scan mode about halfway through (OK, I bumped some button I don't know what I did), and I couldn't get the communications.

Good thing I use that 2-second rule to not be too close to the car in front of me, and not too far behind because there was a blind turn with a stop sign I didn't expect to see.  If that radio was working, I would've known it was coming because of all that information Walter somehow manages to provide from the front while driving stick, reading paper directions, and eating a hoagie.

See you on the next ride!

Walter you were well below par today in your execution today! It was a great course that you chose, with such a great selection of roads. I found myself frequently saying to myself how good a turn or two was... only to find myself saying it again.

Thank You, Louie. So glad you and Corrina signed up for yesterday's Drive. I knew this route had some of your favorite roads.
