Registration for this event is closed!

WHEN:         Sunday, October 6, 2024   12:00 Noon – 4:00 p.m.

WHERE:        Louise Moore Park, Pavilion #1 (Eastern side of Country Club Rd)

151 Country Club Road, Easton, PA

LOCATION  (Near intersection of PA Rte 33 & US Rte 22)

LVMOC will host its annual Fall Fling on Sunday, October 6, 2024;  We will gather for a picnic-style event at Louise Moore Park, near Easton, PA, to share memories of  the 2024 season and to enjoy each others’ company before the weather once again “goes south”.  Food and beverages will be provided at no charge!  Included will be snacks & munchies, sub sandwiches & fixin's from Wegmans (like we served at the 2024 CarBQue), fruit and other salads, sodas, teas and water.  Dessert will, of course, be the ICE CREAM at the end of the post-picnic drive!

The registration cutoff for this event is on Tuesday, October 1 at noon.  This will allow time for us to purchase the necessary food and refreshments.

Louise Moore Park Pavilion #1 is the same location at which we held our 2024 CarBQue, in June.  There is ample parking and lavatories are nearby.

The picnic and socializing will begin at noon and last until around 3:00 p.m.  At that time, we will head out onto some choice roads in Northampton County for a Fall drive of about 37 miles (~ 1 hour), which will culminate in a visit to a local ICE CREAM emporium!  Route directions will be emailed to participants during the week preceding the event.

Your registration in this Forum thread confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, and we will consider your post to this event thread, stating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

During the drive, we will use FRS radios for communications.

A perfect autumn day 😎!  Thanks to all who participated in this annual event... I hope everyone enjoyed the company and conversation as we celebrated the end of another fun "Zooming" season!  It was nice to see everyone before we prepare to hibernate until next Spring.

The Ice Cream Drive, which concluded the Fling, turned out to be an impromptu search for a venue that would be less crowded than Klein Farms Dairy, which was hosting an event as part of the "Lehigh Valley Open Gate Farm Tours".  A quickly-formed committee decided to head for the Blue Mountain Drive-In, near Danielsville, with hopes of more space for our group.  Iva, with her intimate knowledge of the region's roads, took on the challenge of leading our entourage to Blue Mountain.  We arrived only to find that Blue Mtn. was hosting a classic car and street rod show, and the place was packed!  But, we managed to fit in somehow, and got our ice cream 🤩.

Thanks to all the folks who helped to make our Fall Fling a success!
