Join Walter on another new Drive. This Drive has us driving 85 miles of a blend of touring roads and our beloved Miata roadways in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The route has us departing the WAWA in Easton, crossing the “free bridge” at Northampton Street, driving through Warren and Hunterdon Counties and eventually ending our New Jersey roads in Frenchtown.

The second half of the Drive has us crossing the Frenchtown bridge into Pennsylvania.  We will travel South on route 32 and drive roadways in Bucks and Northampton Counties and eventually arrive at The View at Morgan Hill for lunch.

WHERE: We will be meeting at the WAWA, 310 Larry Holmes Drive, Easton. Sunday April 18

WHEN: The driver’s meeting is  at 9:45 a.m. we will depart at 10:00 a.m.  Please arrive by 9:30!

PLEASE NOTE:  THE REST ROOMS AT THE SHELL STATION, McDONALD'S AND WAWA ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THIS IS ONE TIME YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO ARRIVE WITH AN EMPTY BLADDER.

HOWEVER, 20 MINUTES INTO OUR DRIVE, THERE IS A QUICK CHECK GAS STATION IN NEW JERSEY THAT WE WILL BE STOPPING AT.

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

We will use FRS radios for communications.

Count us in.

Our chances to sneak out of the house are about to get much more difficult.

Evan, so glad to hear you and your young navigator, Kiernan are going to be able to join us on Sunday. We have not seen you both since the birth of your second child. We have another Club Member, Jeff, who frequently brings along his twelve year old niece, Haley   -   Love to see those young children.

So happy that this Drive is able to get us all together again. It has been far too long since we have seen each other. With navigating through a Covid Winter, I expect to see everyone with much longer hair.

I will be sending out a PDF file of the turn-by-turn directions today for those that want to print out a copy.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

Walter

The attached photo is showing the beauty of Spring - a yard full of Tulips - that we saw on yesterday's Drive.

Hopefully we will be enjoying the beauty of Spring on our Drive Sunday.

As some of you might know, I’ve been having numbness in my left leg since November.  After many doctors, tests, I think I might have found a chiropractor/physical therapist that can help me.  She would prefer that I don’t drive my Miata till she can get this leg back to feeling normal. So, please take Gail and Bill off the list for Sunday.😥

Gail, I know you have been dealing with that annoying pain in your leg following our Miata drives for some time now. Sorry to hear you and Bill will not be joining us on Sunday, but so happy for you that you may have found a chiropractor that can correct your issue.

Good Luck in that process.
