When: Saturday October 19th, 10:00am
Where: Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles
85 South Walnut St., Boyertown, PA
This is a joint event between the PACE Miata Club and LVMOC. It is being organized by Pace member Matt Loizeaux, who is a volunteer at the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles . We will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Museum, where we will learn about Charles E Duryea's Unique Impact on Reading and the World. The event costs $25 and includes entry to the museum, the presentation (maximum 50 people) and lunch. When everyone is finished in the museum, we will take a nice cruise through the picturesque Oley Valley on our way up Duryea Drive to the Reading Pagoda.

Many thanks to Matthew Loizeaux and the folks at the Boyertown Museum of Historical Vehicles for hosting this excellent presentation about the life and automobiles of Charles Duryea 👍. Along with members of the PACE (PA Central) Miata Club, our group also enjoyed tours of the Museum's collection of vintage automobiles and specialty vehicles (including a fine display of Mr. Duryea's cars) and the adjoining Sweinhart Carriage Factory, where carriage and vehicle building began in Boyertown.
Following a lunch of pizza and ice cream, Matt led a PACE / LVMOC Miata entourage along some fine Berks County roads, starting at the Museum and ending at the Reading Pagoda, which is reached via Reading's Duryea Drive (always fun to drive on that!). A very pleasant drive on a beautiful autumn afternoon 😎!
This was a fun and informational day for those who attended!
Again, thanks, Matt!!
