JANE'S ICE CREAM AND EATERY DRIVE

                                  Drivers' Meeting:   9:45 a.m.

                                  Depart:                10:00 a.m.

                                  Easton, PA   Location

Event Leader -  Walter Cramer

Come out and join Walter for another weekday "Flash" drive offering for retirees and anyone who can take off work.  (Weekend drives are coming, as soon as we see an upcoming weekend with favorable weather forecasted!)  This will be a drive of about 80 miles, mostly on our beloved "Miata" roads, through Northampton and Lehigh Counties, and it will also be run for the entire Club on a weekend that offers good weather.  The group will enjoy a picnic lunch at Jane's Ice Cream and Eatery (if you prefer, you can order food at Jane's).  There is a large area with picnic tables, but, if you wish, you can bring along your camping chairs.  We will meet at the WAWA at 3820 Nazareth Road, Easton, PA (intersection of Routes 248 & 33).  Drivers meeting is at 9:45 a.m. with a Departure at 10:00 a.m.

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

We will use FRS radios for communications.  Be sure to arrive by 9:30 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder 😏.

  2. Gail & Bill

I think it is wonderful how both you and Haley enjoy, not just spending time together, but spending time together in your Miata. Haley is just a few years older than my grandson and how he and I would both enjoy spending time together on Miata rides. Unfortunately, his residing in Calgary, Canada puts a damper on that idea.

Thanks, Dave. I had a good day with the gang also. Thanks to Jeff for tailing the group on the first leg of the Drive, and to you and Janice for keeping us together on the second leg of the Drive.

I must say, our group is getting better and better at their LeMans starts. And I am offering less and less U Turns.

Thanks Walter for putting together a very nice drive today!  And thanks to whomever ordered the beautiful weather that we had! 🙂  Like Dave said....ICE CREAM!!!

Yes, I love the bond that Haley and I have with the Miata.  Too bad that your grandson isn't closer, I know that he would be very happy to be your co-pilot.

Doh had to work and couldn’t make it to Thursdays. I can’t make tomorrow either as I’m out of town until Monday in Harrisburg. Perhaps next Thursday’s if it happens

Yep assuming weather is good and it’s on I’ll be there. Btw third set of MX5 things LED sequential side markers came yesterday, will probably install Tuesday or Wednesday. Hope they both work this time!
