UPDATE: Jerry's has closed to the public a week ago. He is going to reopen JUST FOR US TOMORROW! He is charging me $160 to open tomorrow for 2 1/2 hours for the Club to have free reign. His admission is normally $10 each, so if we have 16 people interested, we are good. If we fall short of that, I will just eat it as a gift to the Club. (If you bought a Groupon, like I had, exchange it, as he will not take it tomorrow).
It is here! The new run you have been waiting for!
What is Jerry's? Here is information from their website:

We are now OPEN WEEKENDS! Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will be following CDC rules and masks will be required to enter. So don’t miss this trip back in time.
Do you want to relive the days of the past? The days when cars were classically designed, rock-n-roll ruled everyone’s radio and the nights were about watching movies at the drive-in theater or sipping a milkshake at a local soda shop. At Jerry’s Classic Cars & Collectibles museum, you will take a journey back in time to the 1950s and leave with an unforgettable experience.
We’ve paid attention to detail and have created an authentic atmosphere, displaying classic cars and over 20,000 collectible items to stir fond memories. Take a sneak peek of the museum and learn about the history of the building as you plan your visit. All ages are welcome!

Meet: Giant Food Store, 300 S. Best Ave., Walnutport LOCATION. There is a gas station there and bathrooms.
When: Sunday November 8 at 9:00
Driver meeting at 9:25, Rollout at 9:30
We will be leaving Giant and heading into Slatington. From there we head through the Trexler Game Preserve and head to Pottsville. Jerry's is opening just for us when we get there!
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
This drive no longer be limited to 15 cars as I would love for as many Club members to take advantage of this opportunity!
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by 9:00 a.m. There are bathrooms in the Giant, as well as a McDonald's and Burger King across the street for breakfast!

@alisunshine Alison thank you! I really enjoy being part of the group. Hope we attract more Fiatas to join LVMOC and I can also nudge them to join the FIAT Freakout 2021 in June next year!
Hope everyone enjoyed Jerry's Classic Car & Collectible museum.
Those that didn't stay for the museum enjoyed a delightful picnic lunch in the Yuengling's Bicentennial Park that Alison had found. I agree with previous posts, it was a joy to see Linda again. It has been six or seven years since Nancy and I met her on one of Ken's ice cream runs in the Reading area.
Janice and I toured the museum AND enjoyed our picnic lunch at Yuengling Bicentennial Park. Thanks for finding that nice spot, Alison!

Listen to Louie, he is wise beyond his years...tequila is not your friend! It will lie to you and tell you it is, you must resist! In my younger days I partook in many a shot of this unholy drink, so much to the point that now if I smell a strong lime scent, I gag. I can't even drink Sprite!

Nope, I bought this size on purpose. I knew going in they were taller and I might have some rubbing issues but I got them for a good deal. My summer tires are the stock 205/45/17 size as well. With you being lowered it actually helps fit that bigger tire as you can lean the tires in under the fender. Saw someone post up on miata.net running the same size saying that changing the caster may help. If the rubbing gets worse, I will look more into that. For now it's only at full lock and decent bumps that I hear it.
No worries Nobu, gotta make those turns fast and safe. 😉 Plus I kinda left the group in a hurry. I knew Hawk Mountain Road wasn't far away and it was a good spot to break off. Maybe New Year's Day? 😎

@rhetlaw wow! Talking about Reading - I actually went up to the Pagoda on my way home. Great weather to visit. Lots of people there in the afternoon.
Another super photo, Nobu.
Our club actually has a drive that does the hillclimb in the Pagoda area. Maybe one of our seasoned members can locate it and provide a drive.

Nobu, what a great place to have your dash cam running. Nice capture of a line of Miatas going through several turns. Nice scenery as well.
@rhetlaw exactly! Great use for the dash cam, plus that's part of the reason that I want to be closer to the tail to capture more Miatas into the video.

WOW! You are such a thoughtful person. You don't even own a Miata, you have one very cool Spider, and you make a point of showing off our Miatas. You're a good man and we are lucky to have you as part of our group.

It has been a month since I first viewed Nobu's dash cam video.
Still a joy to watch a second time. Can't wait for the 2021 driving season to begin.
