Flash Drive!  Flash Drive!

With the impending warm weather forecast through this week and the temperatures reaching into the mid 60’s, Walter is offering a Flash Drive for Thursday, March 11th for all retirees and anyone who can get off work. The drive is two hours and fifteen minutes in length traveling familiar LVMOC Lehigh County roads with a twist here and there. The drive ends at the Fogelsville Hotel for a mid afternoon lunch. Both outdoor dining and indoor dining are offered. We will be meeting at the Exxon Station, 225 South Best Avenue (Route 145), Walnutport, PA (across the road from the Giant gas station). The Driver’s meeting is at 11:45 with a 12:00 noon departure.

This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety.  We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars.  To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet.  Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, stating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

When:     Thursday March 11           11:45 a.m.

Where:    Exxon Gas Station across from Giant in Walnutport  LOCATION

@flying-dutchman

anytime. I freed the car from its igloo area at 5AM, slept for a few hours then was out the door. I went thru two car washes today because of how hard it is to clean a winters worth of junk and dirt. I need a garage again.  Also may be installing the GWR Super Street axle back exhaust tomorrow and messing around with the baffle if the mood strikes

Do it Jordan!  I love mine and ran it for a day with the baffle.  I took it out the second day and it has been sitting in the cargo net in my trunk since.

Haha so this finally comes up, what started the whole “we don’t need no stinking (insert thing here)” talk on the internet? I asked my parents once and they just said it’s an “old joke” or something.. but I recently saw the very funny and very demented “Weird Al” film from the late 80s called “UHF” and there’s a scene where these guys are delivering Badgers (the animals) to this guys house and he does that same routine- “badgers? We don’t need no stinking badgers?”

What is this all about, haha

@stormnd2club

Started with The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, but really took off after Blazing Saddles.
