Flash Drive! Flash Drive! With the impending warm weather forecast through this week and the temperatures reaching into the mid 60’s, Walter is offering a Flash Drive for Thursday, March 11th for all retirees and anyone who can get off work. The drive is two hours and fifteen minutes in length traveling familiar LVMOC Lehigh County roads with a twist here and there. The drive ends at the Fogelsville Hotel for a mid afternoon lunch. Both outdoor dining and indoor dining are offered. We will be meeting at the Exxon Station, 225 South Best Avenue (Route 145), Walnutport, PA (across the road from the Giant gas station). The Driver’s meeting is at 11:45 with a 12:00 noon departure. This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, stating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request). When: Thursday March 11 11:45 a.m.Where: Exxon Gas Station across from Giant in Walnutport LOCATIONSign up by replying in this thread, leaving your name:

I am 85 percent sure I will be able to make it out of the snow, considering tomorrow will be 60s again. Count me in. If come Thursday AM I can’t get out, I will sulk and be sad but I’ll let Walter know via text.
Hope you can make it out Jordan! LMK, if you need me to stop over with a shovel to help dig the car out. haha

Glad you are able to join us, Jeff, However, you had better not let your niece, Haley, know or she will want you to take her out of school for the day.
I was excited but after hearing about your perfect pre-run, I don't know if I will sleep tonight. 🙂
Oh yes, she would def. want to play hooky if I told her.

Inexplicably, I was able to get the ND out of the snow & down to the road. At 5am when I woke up suddenly just now. So happy, just got down there. So I’ll be there.
Walter I’ll text you later so as to not disturb your sleep that I’ll just meet everyone at Exxon at the appropriate time.

Nice photos, Jordan. Thanks for posting them.
Your photos not only show off the group's Miatas, they also show what a beautiful day we had to drive them.
Thanks to all who joined in on the Drive today. And my thanks to Annette for keeping the crew together as our Tail.
Lovely day, Walter... thanks!!! You got the "Wheels of LVMOC" turning for 2021 👍!
It was certainly nice to see many of our gang again, after a cold and quite snowy winter of hibernation. I believe there were 10 Miatas in our entourage, which was an impressive turnout, given that this drive was announced only 3 days ago, and that it was a mid-week drive!
We acquired a new member at this event: Carlos Rodrigues joined LVMOC (Finally! I've been waiting for his application since last autumn 😆). Welcome to the Club, Carlos!
Today I had the advantage of knowing most of the roads "like the back of my hand", so it was a nice day of cruising for me. Again, thanks, Walter!
David
p.s. Thanks for posting the photos, Jordan!

Well said Dave, not too much more that I can add to that!
Thanks again to Walter for putting this impromptu drive together and being our fearless leader and to Annette who did great as our tail! What a great use of a vacation day! 😀
Welcome Carlos, so happy to know you finally made it "official". haha What exhaust do you have on your NC? From my seat in front of you, it sounded great!
