Sunday meet at 10:00 Driver Meeting 10:15 Rollout 10:20
Where - Wawa Bethlehem
741 E. Broad St (E. Broad St. & Stefko Blvd.)
Bethlehem, PA Location
Event Leaders - Louie Draxler and Walter Cramer
We will be joined on the Sunday Drive by our friends from Lehigh Valley Mini. Not to be confused with PhillyMini. This is a truly Lehigh Valley M&M Drive. We hope to have a lot of Fall Fun together!!
PLEASE NOTE: UPDATE!!! THERE IS ONE COMFORT STOP 20 MILES INTO THE 70 TRIP. After our ice cream, you can either wave goodbye, or head back into the Valley with Corrina and I. If so, we will be heading back on a 29 mile drive that ends at LCCC in Schnecksville, on Rte 309. 4 miles south on 309 is the 22/78 interchange.
We will be leaving Wawa and going over the mountain, hooking up with Vera Cruz Road and moving on some roads less traveled. I have tried to incorporate a lot of roads that often get overlooked because we tend to use certain roads in this area for good reason. They are good roads. But the Brit in me looks longingly at those B Roads, this time saying, "Right! Let's have a go, then!"
Please note: We will stop at at a Redners quick stop before Longacres. This will be a comfort stop. Longacres is open at 10:00 on Saturday and 1:00 on Sunday. Sunday will have us leaving an hour later than Saturday to accommodate.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars (or stuffing our faces with ice cream). To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
This drive will be limited to 26 cars, including the leaders, with priority given to paid LVMOC members. WE HAVE TWO LEADERS, AND THEREFORE, TWO GROUPS EACH DAY.
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by 9:00 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder. Or, with enough time to fill your tank, and empty your bladder.

You certainly may. I will sign you up. Tomorrow we are meeting at 10:00, not 9:00. Just so you don't show up at the wrong time.

@livetodrive Thanks Louie! Will see you at 10 tomorrow!!
Sucks about the flat. Sorry to hear about that. See you tomorrow! Works for me though as I really wanted to see your car and I had to work today.

Nobu, so sorry to hear about your flat tire. The good news is that we did hang around for a few minutes longer hoping you would show.
Yes, absolutely join us for the ride tomorrow. The meeting time has been changed to 10:00 a.m. at the WAWA. Looking forward to seeing you then.
Thanks, Walter, for once again guiding us on a fun drive! Fine weather, with a mostly hazy sun, gave us a good top-down day.
This drive was quite "interesting", beginning with my foul-up (not practicing what I preach by not making sure the Miata behind us saw us make a turn 😖), getting several cars off track. My apologies, folks. But, at least we got everyone back in line. Then, because of all the oiled-and-chipped roads, we did some "boondocking", to avoid some of those miserable venues. Thanks to a few folks checking routes on their phone maps, we got back on track ("Hello, Huffs Church!") and eventually arrived at Longacre's for our reward of ICE CREAM!
A fun day!

@rhetlaw - Hi Walter, thank you everyone for waiting a bit longer for me to show up. The good news is everything is fine and I learned that I should dial *11 when I'm in trouble on Turnpike and I can forget about AAA.
Looking forward to meet the Sunday members tomorrow at 10AM!
Louie was quite happy, maybe even thrilled, to learn of your tire issue. Not because it caused you harm or inconvenience, but because now, tomorrow he will be able to see your Spider up close and personal and also meet you.
So glad you are able to join us.
Another round of thanks to Walter for taking the reigns and filling in for Louie as the lead! Also, nice to meet some new members (I will be sending that PM soon Dave ;)). Also, just when I think it cant' get any better than beautiful weather/roads for a drive with some great people with an ice cream treat at the end, we get to catch part of a soccer match and saw a goal scored, no less! 😀

Thanks, Dave. We have had such good luck with the weather this driving season. We had another gorgeous da for a Miata/Spider drive. You are a stand-up guy to offer to take all the weight of our mishap upon your shoulders. I would just as soon place blame on those oil and chip roadways. For me, they were troubling and perplexing.
But like I have said all season, we drive with such an awesome group of drivers. They are supportive, patient, flexible, and always willing to be helpful. And I needed help today so that we could bypass five miles of oil and chips on St. Peters road. Thank you all who were working with your technology units and shouting outs names of roads to take. I was so impressed the way we banded together to allow us to move forward.
Thank you, Jeff, for being our tail today. Great Job!
I have lots of pics of the Fiata from today. If someone wants them posted in a particular thread let me know. Here are a couple ..

@rhetlaw sorry I haven’t been out with the group for a while but have been keeping up with all the happenings and this reminds me of a drive I did 3 Sunday’s ago... I went out by betchelsville/ Gilbertsville & kept finding backroads that had just got oil and chipped... on top of it, i had no gps and ended up so far out past Pottstown it was crazy... I found some awesome roads but I don’t think I could retrace my tracks even if I tried!
Regarding the very nice guy in the grey ND RF today - when he asked if I was going to put my top down (softop ND) - looking at his RF already open - “nah, not if you aren’t” lol. I don’t know if he heard it. I kid I kid. Lol
