Saturday Meet: 9:00 (small parking lot, I don't want to loiter)
Drivers' Meeting: 9:15 a.m.
Depart: 9:20a.m.
Sunday!!! We will meet and leave an hour later than Saturday since Longacre's changed their Sunday hours to 1:00 opening
Sunday meet at 10:00 Driver Meeting 10:15 Rollout 10:20
Where - Wawa Bethlehem
741 E. Broad St (E. Broad St. & Stefko Blvd.)
Bethlehem, PA Location
Event Leaders - Louie Draxler and Walter Cramer
We will be joined on the Sunday Drive by our friends from Lehigh Valley Mini. Not to be confused with PhillyMini. This is a truly Lehigh Valley M&M Drive. We hope to have a lot of Fall Fun together!!
PLEASE NOTE: UPDATE!!! THERE IS ONE COMFORT STOP 20 MILES INTO THE 70 TRIP. After our ice cream, you can either wave goodbye, or head back into the Valley with Corrina and I. If so, we will be heading back on a 29 mile drive that ends at LCCC in Schnecksville, on Rte 309. 4 miles south on 309 is the 22/78 interchange.
We will be leaving Wawa and going over the mountain, hooking up with Vera Cruz Road and moving on some roads less traveled. I have tried to incorporate a lot of roads that often get overlooked because we tend to use certain roads in this area for good reason. They are good roads. But the Brit in me looks longingly at those B Roads, this time saying, "Right! Let's have a go, then!"
Please note: We will stop at at a Redners quick stop before Longacres. This will be a comfort stop. Longacres is open at 10:00 on Saturday and 1:00 on Sunday. Sunday will have us leaving an hour later than Saturday to accommodate.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars (or stuffing our faces with ice cream). To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
This drive will be limited to 26 cars, including the leaders, with priority given to paid LVMOC members. WE HAVE TWO LEADERS, AND THEREFORE, TWO GROUPS EACH DAY.
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by 9:00 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder. Or, with enough time to fill your tank, and empty your bladder.

Please switch Jim & Melissa to Saturday. I know, I know - call us fair-weather friends . . . but yes, that would be correct in this case 😂
Done! I haven't even checked this weekend's weather, yet, myself.
Silver 2011 NC PRHT Grand Touring (actually Janice's car)
If still doable and AOK (this is our first trip with the LVMOC!), please switch Dave & Carol from Sunday to Saturday. Also, when is the "usual" email of the flight route published/emailed attendees? 🙂
Took a test run from here in Lititz to WAWA yesterday to get a feel for the car, etc., etc. Readyto fly in formation!
I will send out turn by turn this evening. The odometer readings are off. I had to redo a bunch due to tar and chips

Welcome aboard Carol and Dave, glad to have you joining our group on Saturday. Saturday is going to be a grand Miata driving day. Litiz to WAWA is quite a venture. Thanks for being persistent. Looking forward to meeting you.
Walter
Good news for you Sunday drivers - Hurricane Delta looks like it will fizzle out fast once it hits land, and go slower than originally expected.
We might not get any rain in this area until late afternoon, if at all on Sunday.
Walter and Sunday team mates, maybe I'm a bit too intense and/or obsessive, but here goes anyway! As a newbie to the Miata and LVMOC, request any & all suggestions for stuff to stuff into the boot for a "most funnest" drive adventure. When we drove our longone 1970 MGB, usually had to bring some stuff since the old thing invariably broke something!
Things to bring, I think are as follows:
- Happy smile
- Turn-by-turn route w/(navigator/significant other), i.e., my wife Carol will be there!
- Clipboard to hold the route
- FRS radio - charged
- Usual car equipage: PA State required papers.
- Watch, wallet, credit card(s), cell phone w/charger
- Bottle of water w/small garbage bag
- Sun glasses
- Sun tan lotion
- COVID-19 kit
Dave, I believe you have nailed it. Your list looks rather thorough to me. I am assuming you and/or Carol will have some sort of writing device - just in case. Since your phone has camera capabilities, you are covered there. In addition, a cap with a visor may be helpful (if you are driving top down). Saturday is supposed to be sunny with a high of 77 degrees.
The good thing about our starting point being at a WAWA is we are able to fuel up and empty our bladders. On this drive we are two hours into it before we stop at Redner's. Unfortunately, Redner's only has one bathroom. Not one per gender, one bathroom. However, forty-five minutes into the drive we pass Lenape Park in the Zionsville area and there is one porta potty at our disposal. I will be announcing that stop in the event someone has a need.

@livetodrive - Nobu's pearl white Fiata will show up tomorrow ^_^
Looking forward to meeting both of them . . .
@rhetlaw it's the "fiata" Nobu here. Just curious the turn-by-turn instructions has been sent out. 100% new member here so would like to be better prepared for tomorrow 🙂
Nobu, if you provide your email address I will be able to provide you the turn-by-turn directions.
Walter
Very sorry for missing the drive. I got a flat tire on my way and will join next time
Hi I missed Saturday and let me know if I can still join Sunday's drive.
This is Nobu Shan with his FIAT 124 Spider.
Thanks!
