Join Walter for a 80 - plus mile drive on Northampton and Bucks County roadways. Some of the roads are familiar oldies and others are new additions. As promised, this Drive will be on a weekend. We will gather at the Dairy Queen parking lot adjacent to the WAWA on 25th street, Easton. The WAWA provides fuel, breakfast snacks and a rest stop.

Our first leg of travel is approximately an hour and forty minutes in length and has us driving roads in the Morgan Hill region followed by roads in the Lower Saucon area and arriving at the Giant Food Store in Hellertown for a rest stop. Our second leg of traveling is approximately an hour and forty minute drive and has us leaving Hellertown and heading South into the Bucks County region. We then head North to end our Drive at the Copperhead Grille on route 378 for lunch.

Please indicate whether or not you will be staying for Lunch,

The Copperhead Grille offers both indoor and outdoor dining.

Thank you Michele, Celia, Warren and John for your kind words. It is always a joy to have you as part of our group. And thank you for accepting Sherry, Matthew and John so kindly. They had a great time and love the friendliness of our group.

So happy we had much of the Drive in dry weather and dry roads. Those twenty minutes of a bit of a drizzle were bearable. As always, huge thanks to Haley and Jeff serving as our Middle and for our "first timers" in Sherry and John for being Tail. You folks keep us together and safe.

A Welcome to our two new members on the Drive today - Doug Brittain and John Weezorak. Both enjoyed their time with our members.

Walter

Doug, it was so nice having you with us yesterday. Happy you had an " amazing " experience for your first Drive. You got to experience first hand how our Club members handle a bit of a drizzle as well as a slight mechanical issue - we  all go with the flow and help each other however we can. Now you are a part of us.

Walter

Another round of thanks to Walter for putting together a great group of roads!  Also, I don't know how he did it but he found a way to keep the rain at bay for the better part of the drive.  We had that slight encounter with some rain drops but nothing too crazy.  I asked Haley at a couple of stop signs about putting the top up but she emphatically said, "NO".  She loves driving with the top down and doesn't mind getting a little wet or cold (no top up on the Polar Bear Drive either).

It was a pleasure meeting the new members of the Club and happy to hear that they enjoyed themselves and look forward to seeing them on more adventures.  It was also very nice to meet some of Walter's extended family!  Now we know where Walter gets his great personality from.  😉  Happy that John was able to keep the car on the road and hope he was able to get back home safely!  What was your grandson's final grade on his first long length Miata drive?

Thanks, Jeff, and yes, John was able to keep that secondary fan issue at bay by turning on the air conditioner as he saw his temperature rise. Susan and John are safely back in Camp Hill. I am sure John will be replacing that malfunctioned harness quickly.

Like, our new member, Doug, my grandson, Matthew, had a fabulous time. Our members are so welcoming when children join our Drives. You know that first hand with Haley. On the way home, Matthew asked if we could take the Miata out on another long drive.
