Presidential note: HOLD YOUR EARS, BECAUSE I AM DROPPING THE MIC! THIS IS THE 40TH DRIVE OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!! BOOM!!!!
Join Walter for a Fall morning of driving westward over Lehigh and Berks County roads south of routes 22 and 78. Our westward destination is the Dieffenbach’s Potato Chip factory. The locals claim these potato chips to be the Best Ever, and the devotees among us can replenish their home stocks with the tasty 'taters! Although the drive to Dieffenbach’s is a bit over two hours, I have a rest stop planned at Redner’s on Route 183, one hour and forty minutes into the drive.
Our return route has us stopping at Sheetz, on Route 61, for a rest stop. As we turn onto Route 737 North, we finally get to travel on roadways north of routes 22 and 78. The length of travel is 95 miles and approximately 4 1/2 hours.
We will have lunch with out-door dining at Hops Fogelsville Hotel.
Be sure to let Walter know if you wish to go to the restaurant!
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, indicating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
We will use FRS radios for communications. Be sure to arrive by ~9:45 a.m. with a full gas tank and an empty bladder.
NOTE: To ensure that this popular drive runs smoothly, we plan to divide the cars into two groups.

Welcome, Charlie. Looking forward to meeting you and your Miata on the Saturday Drive.

Dave, you have chosen to be added to another beauty of a Drive. I am sure you will enjoy this one as well. And if you have never tasted a Dieffenbach's Potato Chip, you are in for a real treat. They also offer pretzels and candy.
Walter
I plan to join in on the pre-run on Wed, 10/27.
Welcome Aboard, and Yes, Alison, there is more than enough room for you "small car".
However, by the end of October I am not sure the Fogelsville Hotel will be offering outdoor dining.
I will be checking on that fact as the date draws nearer.
Beth & Gary will be there!
Update: Make that Fred and Marie. Chips yes, Lunch no.
Also, Amanda would like to join this drive, too, with her GT. Maybe her little sister will join us, too, if she's not traveling.

Great news, Fred. Sounds like a family affair. Certainly hoping Amanda is able to join us and get a flavor for our Club. Joining in on our Club Drives is like trying to eat only one Dieffenbach's Potato Chip - bet you can't do just one!

@fredm It is great to see your daughter following your passion. My niece Haley just turned 11 and loves coming on runs. She texts me asking when is the next one, where are we going, etc.
On the last run she told me that she told her dad that the first car she gets is a Mazda. I asked her if it would be a Miata and with a grin, she said what color should I get? I said that maybe I will buy a new one by then, she finished my sentence saying that she would take mine! 😊
