Welcome to the 2022 running of an annual tradition: The M&M (Minis & Miatas) Rally. Once again, LVMOC will get together with members of the Philly Mini Club for some back-road cruising and camaraderie. This will be, I believe, the 14th running of this event, which was first proposed and hosted in 2008 by the Mini group! This year it's LVMOC's turn to host the event. So, here goes:
This excursion for Miatas and Mini Coopers has us leaving the Lehigh Valley and traveling our beloved curves and twisties into the Pocono Region. We travel Route 534 through ten miles of Hickory Run State Park. After our rest stop, we continue to the Francis E. Walter Dam, where, looking South from the Dam head, one can view the beginning of the Lehigh Gorge State Park, which continues South into the Lehighton area eighteen miles away. We continue with a quaint drive around Lake Harmony at the Split Rock Lodge, in Luzerne County. We will be enjoying Lunch in the Saylorsburg / Snydersville area. Following lunch, we continue cruising South on "Mini Cooper and Miata" roads, traveling over Blue Mountain and enjoying Ice Cream at the Blue Mountain Drive-In, where the ride concludes.
Our first leg of travel has us driving 60 miles in approximately 2 hours. Our second leg of travel is 52 miles and traveling approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. Our third and final leg of travel is 21 miles in length and approximately 45 minutes of travel time.
Following lunch, in the event one has had enough driving for one day, you have the opportunity of following Route 209 to Route 33 and travel the remainder of the trip home via four lane travel.
We always enjoy spending time with the fun-loving members of the Philly Mini Club! Let's get a nice-sized gang of LVMOC folks together and show them that we, too, are a bit crazy (about our Miatas, that is...)
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread (or Philly Mini's event thread), stating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).
We will use FRS radios for communications.

Yes! Please sign me up, plus one.
Please add Bill M to this list...though I will probably be pinch hitting for the other team...I will need to bug out after Lake Harmony though... my son is participating in a SCCA event at Pocono Raceway, which is literally 5 minutes from Lake Harmony... So I will be breaking off to join him... I'm not sure if there is the desire, or time, to add an extra rest stop, but I'm sure there are other M&M drivers that wouldn't mind a bathroom break surrounded by racecars...entry to the event is free, you just need to sign the track liability waiver to enter.
Please add me thank you 😎
2022 Miata GT
Bill, I ran my pre-run today and my route has us passing the Pocono Raceway on route 115.
Would it be OK if Ralph and Becky attend?
My car is 99% through it's refresh and should be back very soon...
There is still plenty of room. See you there.

Unfortunately I cannot make this one because I'm going to see my grandson play football at Millersville that day.
Hi guys, I’m not going to be able to make this one. You guys have a great time. John

Ah-h-h, sorry to hear that, John. You would have enjoyed this Drive. We are also going to miss out on your memorable video. The good news is that you will catch it on the 24th.
