Hi everyone! I am finalizing a route for a Christmas Lights Tour. I am doing a pre-run this evening and will be offering it for Club Members for tomorrow night Sunday December 27.
Meeting: Valero Gas station parking lot 6007 W Main Blvd Bath (Despite how it sounds, this is outside of Bath, on 248 near where Airport Rd ends at 248) LOCATION
Time: 4:45 with a roll out of 5:00. Route takes about 2 hours. There are no bathroom breaks. i believe there is a facility at the gas station we start at.
MIATA OPTIONAL! While this will be a decidedly low speed affair, where top down is possible, you may want to bring the family members that can't view anything from inside a Miata Trunk.
Bring your FRS radio. We will be using Channel 7. And to those who think Christmas was the other day... The Christmas Season begins on the 25th. Before that, it was Advent. Please bring a mask to wear if you will be socializing before the run, as we will be socially distancing as we catch up with our friends.
This event will follow the current Pennsylvania rules for COVID-19 safety. We will require that all participants maintain six-foot social distancing, and we will require masks to be worn when not in our cars. To avoid common handling of materials, we will email the directions to participants, for home printing, and we will eliminate the usual paper sign-in sheet. Since the sign-in confirms your agreement with LVMOC’s standard Waiver and Release, we will now consider your post to this event thread, stating that you intend to participate, to be your “electronic” signature, indicating your agreement with said Waiver and Release (copy available on request).

Thanks so much for organizing this drive! Although the route didn’t work out as planned, I thought that it was terrific! It was wonderful to see brilliant light displays and friendly faces, both familiar and new. Ice cream at the Blue Moo was a surprise bonus!
I couldn't agree more, Alison. For me, it was a good excuse to get my "covered" Miata out of the garage and on the road. Always a joy to see fellow Miata friends. Seeing Christmas lights on houses was a treat.
Who would have guessed that Louie had a Christmas Surprise for us - our last ice cream drive of 2020.

I forgot to include this photo in my earlier post. I wish I had thought of taking photos with our Miatas in front of the more colorfully decorated homes.
Two things: 1) from now to the end of May, any drives will have VERY SHORT lead times due to weather. 2) I usually post on our Facebook page for these things as well, since people tend to check it a little more often.
I really do plan on having several runs this year before May. I don't want you to miss out. However, I can't plan them out more than a couple days, since a cold run is less fun that a Sun Run!!!

Thanks! I promise that next year will be better. Part of being a good President, is knowing my strengths and weaknesses, and surrounding myself with quality. To that end, I asked Tracy if she would like to include us with her Tour next year. She has done a Christmas lights tour for 6 years now, improving each year. I want to spare the Club 6 years of my growing pains and make it an M&M thing.
Next Year will be our first M&M Christmas Tour! Woo Hoo!

Ah man....so bummed I missed out on this one! I don't do the Facebook but have it saved to my faves so I will have to make sure to check it and here daily for any future impromptu runs!
