Many of you will recall that, a couple of years ago, our Club ran quite a few drives to ice cream destinations that were participating in the Pennsylvania Ice Cream Trail. We received cards which, when stamped by enough of the ice cream venues, could be redeemed for T-shirts and ice cream bowls.
Pennsylvania is now running a new version of the Ice Cream Trail in 2022; this year’s Trail has moved into the digital age. By going to the 2022 Ice Cream Trail website (using this LINK) and clicking on the “ Get Yours “ button on the Home Page, you will see a screen on which to enter your name, zip code and phone number. That being done, you are now “registered". When you visit any of the creameries, you open the name of the creamery on your phone and the clerk will give you the four digit code to enter onto your phone.
No shirts this year. One must visit ten creameries, and the prize is a unique Scooped Ice Cream Scoop.
If we would pursue this with Club drives, everyone interested would have to register for a Trail Passport. For example, as the group drives to Klein Farms for ice cream after the Pancake Breakfast this Sunday, anyone registered can get the four digit code from Klein Farms and get credit for their visit. Those not registered will not receive credit for their visit toward the Ice Cream Scoop.
Sounds like fun, and, even if you don't accumulate enough visits to qualify for the Scoop, you'll have enjoyed all that ice cream!

Hmm, a series of events that "make" us eat ice cream. Sounds like a great idea!
