Jay Leno's Garage:
Volvo P1800 Cyan
About two minutes in, Jay says how fun Miatas are to drive.
The starting price for a Cyan is $700,000...
If we traded in, maybe, forty Miatas, we could get one Cyan?
Nah.

I want one of these!!!!! 😍 🤩 😎
In the 1960's, I was enamored by the P1800. I still think it was one of the prettiest coupes of that era, and it was designed not by an Italian coachbuilder, but by the Swedes! This offering, by Cyan, is even more desirable. (Now, where can I get a quick $700k?)
Silver 2011 NC PRHT Grand Touring (actually Janice's car)
What a beautiful car and a timeless design! And it weighs in at 2100lbs?!? That is insane!

Looks like you and Janice need to go to Wind Creek for a date night! 😉
2016 ST Ceramic Metallic GT aka Ghost
A long time ago, when I had a 760 Turbo (such a nice car), I was a member of VOCA for a short time. I learned a little about the P1800 (also was/is one who admired/wanted/wants a nice P1800). I'm partial to the '73 ES because there is no better looking sport wagon that I can think of. The 73 came with fuel injection.
If you visit Cyan's website, there are animations of the transformation of the car. It's a little shocking how little of the original car is retained. I guess you don't need much to keep that 1964 VIN number going.

I love this Volvo since I first saw the Saint driving one. Jay Leno had the restomod version on. Very cool. But I could barely afford a real one. There is one on 873 that becons me to stop every time I drive past it....
