Just dawned on me. 2006 models (since its 15 years) - wow that makes me feel a old -

nothing much else to say here, just the above. It just dawned on me.  PA benefit for classic car plate is a $75 one time registration fee, never have to pay it again. Also no emissions testing 🙂

Just remember it has to be in mostly original condition and no more than one day a week use. https://www.dot.state.pa.us/public/dvspubsforms/BMV/BMV%20Fact%20Sheets/fs-ant.pdf

Yeah, I’ve had 3 classic car plates. They don’t care. I wouldn’t make a habit of passing the same LEO everyday of the week, but in general, no one cares. Did it for 10+ Years. Both mine had engine swaps, brake swaps, different paint jobs, body kits front ends etc. They used to make you send in photos of it to verify it but in reality Penndott just wants your $$

I have classic plates on my 2002.  It is mostly not original and I drive it regularly during the summer.  I've never been questioned by the police.  Even when I was pulled over for 61mph in a 45 zone.  :^)

When I registered the car with the classic plates, my title came back with the model year 1902.  I had the state correct the title to 2002, but I still have 1902 on my owners card.

Haha that’s crazy. And I have had the same experience. Three different vehicles cops never noticed or mentioned the classic plate.

My brother who also lives in PA just got an ANTIQUE Car plate on his 1993 MR2 turbo !
