Yup, FREE! This black and tan miata was present at the get together at Carrabba’s restaurant when a group of us decided to form LVMOC. It wasn’t mine at the time but became mine 7 years ago.
It has been my faithful daily driver to work until Covid-19 forced me to work from home in April. I let it sit too long and it now does not start (no noise at all when I turn the ignition, even with jumping). I would have just fixed it but my daughter bought me a new (used) convertible instead.
The GOOD: The engine has been great. I only drive 2,000 miles a year and I have changed the oil once a year at inspection time. 127,700 miles and doesn’t burn oil. The top is fine and there is a Hard Dog double diagonal roll bar with cushion and vinyl cover. Registration good till June 2021. I run with snow tires since I work only a mile from home so why waste the effort and they are in fine shape. Kenmore stereo that is a little finicky.
The BAD: AC, cruise control, air bag and horn don’t work. Rain drain rust in front of both rear tires that should be repaired if you plan to drive this miata. A few dents and cracked lenses but nothing major. Driver seat is torn. I think the battery is also pretty worn out.
Pictures available on request.
My son is interested. Can we get some pics?
Thanks

Silver 2011 NC PRHT Grand Touring (actually Janice's car)
Yup! I’m still hoping to end up with a nice NC or ND when my retirement settles down and get back to the club.
Same here. Is it me, or are prices way up on used Miatas?
Will let you know if my son wants the car, I forwarded the photos to him.
Thanks!

Car has a tentative home but I’ll update this when it is finalized.
I probably have all the parts to take care of replacements stacked up in my "Miata Room", so whoever takes this can come down and take what they need for the same price as the car.
This has to be Bruce. It has been quite awhile since I've either seen or heard from you. Always nice to hear a voice from the past. You have always been one of the Miata "go to people" when help is needed. You continue to be resourceful.

Jaws III has a new home with another LVMOC member. Delivered today. After 27 years as a daily driver, he is now headed to the track. Miatas don’t get older, just faster!
I do. Here’s some pics (some next to my ‘20 club) - sorry it took so long to reply:
Water pump blew after 100 miles, just replaced w/ all new belts in November; soft top developed a giant tear and was replaced with a used one, rust on the rear rockers is bad and getting worse (hopefully will do that in the spring) - transmission is acting up although it may just be the clutch. Wiper motor needs to be replaced (the wipers move at .0001 mph) and a big dent in the fender has to be pulled or fender replaced. Not sure. Before the wpump went it drove very well and was a lot of fun. It’s buried under snow now.
