There's always room for your Spider, Risa. And if you enjoy chips, Dieffenbach's has a nice selection of Kettle Chips.

Contest for how many bags of chips to stuff in the boot?

Quite a lot.  I cannot find the photo of this run several years ago, but I spent about $20 and literally had the trunk of my NB filled with bags of potato ships.  I plan to do the same thing this year.

Hi, looking at the temps for the AM start, and this being our first year in the Club, any foreseen problem(s) with road surface conditions???

Walt, if "something" happens enroute from Lancaster, what's best way to inform you about us simply meeting in Wolmensdorf vs. Foglestown or us regrettably cancelling our participation?

@dave

We agree with your observation and will be moving the Saturday morning starting from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  If it becomes necessary to contact me for any reason, please send a text to 610 509-7120.

In addition, we have a retired Navy F-14 Tomcat stationed at our local VFW. It happened to be only a five minute drive from the Pocono Fall Foliage starting point. On Thursday morning and yesterday morning I introduce both groups to the Tomcat. Many were warmly touched by the visit as both groups had veterans in them.

As a retired Air Force pilot, one day we will get you up there. In the meantime, below is a link to the Morning Call article from October 11, 2003.

@rhetlaw thannx, brother, for the honor of reading this article. No jet wants to sit down, all want to fly their friggin wings off. Still, it may have been the time to present itself to an admiring Nation for years to come.

Unfortunately, this F-14 is no longer operable.  I drive past it almost every day, thinking, "Boy, it sure would be fun to fire that thing up!"

As the article points out, there is a team that, at least back in the 2003 era, salvaged parts from retired F-14's to keep other F-14's in service. Very meaningful that servicemen hold these aircrafts so close.

Reminds me of policemen and their attachment to their canine's as team members.

As a year round driver of my ND, your tires will be fine. They will not have the grip they have when they are warm though. If you drive your car at colder temps, you may want to consider another pair of shoes for it. I swap mine out in mid November.
