DESCRIPTION:Once again (how lucky can we be?)\, Chapter 839 of the Eastern Experimental Aircraft Association has invited us to attend\, on May 14\, a pancake breakfast ($7 per person\, as of now)\, an aircraft fly-in and a car show (LVMOC member cars and classic British cars\, in this instance) at the Pegasus Airpark\, near Brodheadsville\, PA.  EAA Chapter 839 will have their aircraft on display\, and there will likely be some flying of R/C airplanes. \nThe Keystone British Car Club has been invited to participate on the same date\, May 14\, so we will have the opportunity to “rub elbows” with the owners of many of the British cars that we “cut our teeth on” in the 1950s\, 1960s and 1970s. \nAfter this event\, LVMOC will escort the Miatas (and Brits\, if they wish) to an ice cream rendezvous at Kline Farms Dairy and Creamery\, several miles north of Easton\, PA. \nThe LVMOC participants should plan to arrive at Pegasus Airpark by 9:00 a.m. on May 14.  There is no organized group drive from the Lehigh Valley to the Airpark.

The return route follows roadways through Monroe County and arrives at the Blue Mountain Drive-In for lunch\, followed by ICE CREAM for dessert! \nThis is essentially the same drive that Walter led on Sunday\, July 23rd\, and it received many compliments from those who participated.  Walter will now run this drive on a Thursday\, to accommodate members who may have had to work on July 23rd (or any others who are available on a weekday).

DESCRIPTION:LVMOC will host a Fall Fling on Sunday\, October 1\, 2023; this is a return to an annual event that we enjoyed in previous years.  We will gather for a picnic-style event at Egypt Memorial Park\, in Egypt (where else??)\, Lehigh County\, to share memories of  the 2023 season and to enjoy each others’ company before the weather once again “goes south”.  Food and beverages will be provided at no charge! \nWe have reserved an enclosed pavilion (which can be opened or closed\, according to the weather) and there is ample parking. \nThe picnic and socializing will be from noon until 3:00 p.m.  At 3:00\, we will head out onto the roads of northeastern Lehigh County for a not-too-long Fall drive\, which will culminate in a visit to a local ICE CREAM emporium! \nA sign-up topic will be posted on our forum as the date of the event approaches.  Until then\, enjoy a 2023 season of Happy Zooming!
