DESCRIPTION:Join Walter for a 100-mile Drive ending with a lunch and ice cream.  The Drive will travel many of our beloved Miata roads through Northampton County\, picking up Route 611 for our last five miles of travel while driving through the picturesque Delaware Water Gap and stopping at the Delaware Water Gap Welcome Center for our rest stop.  Our return route has us driving roadways through Monroe County and arriving at Blue Mountain Drive-In for lunch\, followed by ICE CREAM for dessert. \nAlthough this event was formerly billed as a “picnic lunch” drive\, there is a forecast of showers during the day\, so we will now end the drive at the Blue Mountain Drive-In (they have a varied menu)\, where we can enjoy lunch indoors (or outdoors\, on their deck).

DESCRIPTION:This will be a repeat of our June\, 2021 event\, at which we had a really good time!  The details of the 2022 event are essentially the same as those of 2021: \nChapter 839 of the Eastern Experimental Aircraft Association has invited us to attend\, on June 12\, a pancake breakfast ($7 per person)\, an aircraft fly-in and a car show (LVMOC member cars\, in this instance) at the Pegasus Airpark\, near Brodheadsville\, PA.  EAA Chapter 839 will have their aircraft on display\, and there will likely be some flying of R/C airplanes.  They have previously been joined at these events by other auto marque clubs\, such as an MG club.  After this event\, LVMOC will escort the Miatas to an ice cream rendezvous at Kline Farms Dairy and Creamery\, several miles north of Easton\, PA. \nThe LVMOC participants should plan to arrive at Pegasus Airpark by 9:00 a.m. on June 12.  There is no organized group drive from the Lehigh Valley to the Airpark. \nSounds like fun!  Be there!!

DESCRIPTION:Our annual LVMOC Spring CarBQue will take place at Louise Moore Park\, in Northampton County\, near Route 33.  We will gather in a widely-spaced outdoor setting for a meal and to enjoy each others’ company\, ogle our cars\, relax and talk about Miata stuff.  We also will conduct a General Membership Meeting and a Garage Sale/Swap Meet during this event. \nPlease come out and join the gang!

DESCRIPTION:This is the weekend version of Walter’s recent mid-week drive\, which he promised to lead for those who couldn’t join him on Wednesday\, May 31.  He will lead the gang on a drive to lunch at the Copperhead Grille\, on Rte PA 378 in Center Valley\, PA.  This jaunt begins at the Dairy Queen\, on 25th Street in Easton\, PA\, and explores roads in the Lower Saucon Valley region of Northampton County.  After a “comfort break” in Hellertown\, the group will head onto the fun roads of Upper Bucks County before arriving at the Copperhead Grille\, which offers both indoor and outdoor dining.

SUMMARY:Fogelsville Hotel Mid-Week Lunch Drive
DESCRIPTION:Join Walter for a 98-mile drive along some new and some “old” favorite fun roads in Northampton and Lehigh Counties.  This drive was recently run on a weekend and received great reviews!  The route begins at the Shell station about 1 mile east of Northampton\, on PA Route 329 (Nor Bath Blvd)\, and winds through scenic\, rolling hills to a “comfort” stop at a Sheetz on PA Route 863.  From there\, the route heads through the scenic farmlands of  Lehigh County before arriving at Hops Fogelsville Hotel\, for a 1:30 lunch. \nYou’ll enjoy the great roads on this drive!

SUMMARY:Blue Mountain Drive-In Lunch & Ice Cream Drive
DESCRIPTION:Join Walter for a 100 mile drive\, ending with a lunch and ice cream at the Blue Mountain Drive-In\, near Danielsville\, PA.  The first leg of the drive will have us enjoying many of our beloved Miata roads through Northampton County and stopping at the Delaware Water Gap Welcome Center for our rest stop. The return route follows roadways through Monroe County and arrives at the Blue Mountain Drive-In for lunch\, followed by ICE CREAM for dessert!

SUMMARY:Un-Polar Bear Drive 2023
DESCRIPTION:An LVMOC tradition\, where we assemble at the beginning\, wearing our winter gear\, take some quick photos\, and head into the hinterlands for some zooming on non-icy roads in Lehigh\, Berks and Schuylkill Counties.  Of course\, we will visit Heisler’s Cloverleaf Dairy to get our fill of ice (cream\, that is…).  The total drive length will be around 100 miles.
