DESCRIPTION:This will be a repeat of our June\, 2021 event\, at which we had a really good time!  The tentative details of the 2022 event are essentially the same as those of 2021: \nChapter 839 of the Eastern Experimental Aircraft Association has invited us to attend\, on June 12\, a pancake breakfast ($7 per person)\, an aircraft fly-in and a car show (LVMOC member cars\, in this instance) at the Pegasus Airpark\, near Brodheadsville\, PA.  EAA Chapter 839 will have their aircraft on display\, and there will likely be some flying of R/C airplanes.  They have previously been joined at these events by other auto marque clubs\, such as an MG club.  After this event\, LVMOC will escort the Miatas to an ice cream rendezvous at Kline Farms Dairy and Creamery\, several miles north of Easton\, PA (this part has not yet been confirmed). \nThe LVMOC participants should plan to arrive at Pegasus Airpark by 9:00 a.m. on June 12.  There is no organized group drive from the Lehigh Valley to the Airpark. \nSounds like fun!  Be there!!

DESCRIPTION:Walter has invited us to join him for a weekday Drive on a blend of Miata roads and Touring roads in Pennsylvania and New Jersey .  In NJ\, we will drive the roadways of Warren and Hunterdon Counties.  We will cross the Delaware River\, to return into Pennsylvania\, at Frenchtown\, NJ.  We immediately arrive at Amanda’s Riverside Cafe\, on the shore of the Delaware River\, for a 1:30 p.m. lunch reservation.   After lunch\, we will tour some fun roads in Bucks and Northampton Counties before returning to the Lehigh Valley

SUMMARY:Blue Mountain Lunch and Ice Cream Drive
DESCRIPTION:Join Walter for a 100-mile Drive ending with a lunch and ice cream.  The Drive will travel many of our beloved Miata roads through Northampton County\, picking up Route 611 for our last five miles of travel while driving through the picturesque Delaware Water Gap and stopping at the Delaware Water Gap Welcome Center for our rest stop.  Our return route has us driving roadways through Monroe County and arriving at Blue Mountain Drive-In for lunch\, followed by ICE CREAM for dessert. \nAlthough this event was formerly billed as a “picnic lunch” drive\, there is a forecast of showers during the day\, so we will now end the drive at the Blue Mountain Drive-In (they have a varied menu)\, where we can enjoy lunch indoors (or outdoors\, on their deck).

SUMMARY:Tri-State Drive to Hawks Nest\, Port Jervis\, NY (Mid-Week)
DESCRIPTION:Join Walter for an all day\, tri state drive to Hawks Nest\, Port Jervis.  The ride begins in Pennsylvania\, travels North through New Jersey\, crosses into New York State followed by a return trip over the Delaware River and back home.  We drive through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area in both Pennsylvanian and New Jersey and enjoy many scenic sights. \nIncluded are a lunch stop at the Erie Hotel\, in Port Jervis\, a visit to the Elks-Brox Memorial Park\, at Point Peter\, and a drive along NY Route 97\, which is known as Hawk’s Nest Drive (curvy with great views).

DESCRIPTION:This will be a repeat of our June\, 2021 event\, at which we had a really good time!  The details of the 2022 event are essentially the same as those of 2021: \nChapter 839 of the Eastern Experimental Aircraft Association has invited us to attend\, on June 12\, a pancake breakfast ($7 per person)\, an aircraft fly-in and a car show (LVMOC member cars\, in this instance) at the Pegasus Airpark\, near Brodheadsville\, PA.  EAA Chapter 839 will have their aircraft on display\, and there will likely be some flying of R/C airplanes.  They have previously been joined at these events by other auto marque clubs\, such as an MG club.  After this event\, LVMOC will escort the Miatas to an ice cream rendezvous at Kline Farms Dairy and Creamery\, several miles north of Easton\, PA. \nThe LVMOC participants should plan to arrive at Pegasus Airpark by 9:00 a.m. on June 12.  There is no organized group drive from the Lehigh Valley to the Airpark. \nSounds like fun!  Be there!!

DESCRIPTION:Join Miata Mike on a jaunt to Reading\, to see the SCCA Duryea Drive hillclimb event. \nWe will meet at the new Weis Market\, in Macungie\, PA\, and drive along the fun roads of Lehigh and Berks Counties to reach Reading. \nThe annual SCCA hillclimb\, on Reading’s Duryea Drive\, is a great event and it draws some of the East Coast’s top competitors.  Come out\, enjoy a nice drive and watch some great sports car competition!
