We are limiting the number of cars on this drive to 20, to ensure a safe, enjoyable drive with minimal waits for regrouping, and we are giving participation priority to paid LVMOC membersWe will use either FRS or CB radios for communication, depending on the size of the group.  Please let me know if you and your navigator will join us at lunch!

David, thanks for another Great Polar Bear Run. You have a good navigator in Janice and she works that FRS radio well. And let's not leave Ken Hill out of this post. He did a great job in keeping our group together. Loved the roads you chose for this run. Another wonderful day in our Miata with our friends.

Thanks to Dave & Janice for putting together another great Polar Bear Drive.  Several new roads for me that were quite entertaining, and thanks to Ken for being the tail.  Now he can't say that it's a thankless job. 😋

Thanks to all who participated in today's drive.  We were most fortunate to have both good weather and good road conditions, not always a "given" on New Year's Day (like the 11 degree temperature of a couple of years ago!).  16 cars and 27 people came out for the event, with 25 having lunch at the Hometown after the drive.  A special "thank you" to Janice, my capable navigator, and to Ken, for bringing up the "tail" and ensuring that there were no wayward members of the flock 👍 .

This drive turned out to be the final LVMOC event for Caroline and Ray Waugh, longtime, loyal members and former Club officers, who are relocating from NJ to Massachusetts.  We thank them for their past contributions to LVMOC, and we wish them all the best at their new home!  Also, we hope they'll keep us informed of Miata-related events in their area, so we can join them again sometime!

I look forward to seeing everyone in the Spring!

David
